The Zanj Rebellion was one of the largest slave rebellions in history and it seriously threatened the Abbasids. Surprising as it may sound to a person who isn't already familiar with the period, Medieval Iraq actually had a full-fledged plantation economy that imported huge numbers of Blacks from East Africa to toil away in salt mines and sugar fields. These Blacks were generally castrated (which is why Iraq is still Semitic in race), and by 869, they had gotten plenty fed up enough to launch a 14-year insurrection that flung the region into chaos.
None of this is represented in game. A trade that was basically the Atlantic slave trade of its day, a rebellion that could be viewed as a spiritual predecessor to Haiti.
I don't have any specific suggestions, but I would like to see this implemented either as content in a future patch or in a mod. The main way I could see it working is that Muslim players in Iraq could buy Prosperity/tax modifiers but, in doing so, risk nasty rebellion events later on. If the rebellions succeed, you may even see Cultures flip and Black characters (I don't know what the appropriate Culture and Religion would be) take over Iraq.
