Meanwhile the Civil War in China intensified with the Communists and Southern
Warlords all gained vast swaths of territory at the expense of the Nationalists.
All the while the Japanese look on with predatory interest.
Meanwhile in the Commonwealth, the navy continued with its construction,
beginning a series of three heavy cruisers.
At the same time the Ministry of Imperial Defence continued to focus on the
development and enhancement of Naval technologies.

I know, I know.
I plan to read it once, but its so huge, 127 pages now, and I don`t like reading such a big story on my computer. I have started copying your AAR to Word, so that I can read it on my laptop, in some more comfortable position. BTW, I already have some AAR fully transfered to Word (Allenby`s, El Pip`s, and few others), so if anyone wants them just let me know.

As the new year began the Spanish Civil War began to wind down,
it becoming clear to everybody that it was all over but the dying.
The Fascists had taken Madrid and it was only a matter of time until
the whole of the country was theirs.

That war would be over by the time Spring began, but Summer would
bring a dangerous escalation to a war that had already plunged the world's
most populous nation into murderous anarchy. Claiming they would bring
peace to the war torn country, the Japanese have intervened in the conflict.
A mere fig leaf covering their naked expansion and brutal methods.

The Japanese onslaught was unstoppable. Within three months they had
taken Beijing and completely overrun the Shanxi. At the same time Japanese
marines had taken Hainan and crossed the strait to the mainland opening up
a Southern front. With the Communists still on the warpath in the west the
future of the Nationalists looks bleak.

Meanwhile at home we welcomed a new Royal Sovereign, one that we hope will
reign longer than the last. Edward VIII had abdicated to marry an American
divorce and his brother took the throne as George VI. God Save the King!
At the Ministry of Imperial Defense a third Imperial Army HQ was being organized, as was a corp of Mountain troops. A series of air bases was being constructed and the keel to the Commonwealth's first aircraft carrier had been laid.
Technologically the Ministry continued with it's development of ever more
powerful warship design and began to branch out into revolutionary new
combined arms and air power doctrines.

I just played around with the relative manpower number until it came out to what it should be. Making it 2.5500 gave me a daily manpower value of .45, which is what Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand add up to.
Also, keep an eye out for new badges, I've enough to preface my updates with them for a while. Though they are similar, each one is different.

Throughout the fall and winter months the Japanese solidified their hold on
the north. By February both Nanking and Shanghai had fallen to the Japanese
juggernaut. At the same time the Japanese had greatly expanded their foothold
in the south, seizing most of the former Guanxi domain.
The report of Japanese atrocities in the sacking of Nanking are stunning in
their savagery and scope.
Towards the end of March the Japanese army launched a massive offensive
with the aim of linking up their Southern and Northern conquests. Not only
would this provide the Japanese with a common front, but it would deny the
Chinese access to the sea and the much needed weapons, supplies and financial support.
The operation was a complete success and by the end of June the
Nationalists had been crushed, driven west deep into the mountains.
So badly were they beaten though, with hundreds of thousands of men killed,
and hundreds of thousands more wounded and captured that one wonders
whether even the harsh terrain of western China will allow Chiang Kai-shek to
hold off the Japanese for long.

Viewing these developments with alarm, the Ministry of Imperial Defence has
accelerated the military buildup. The army has been ordered to begin raising 10 motorized divisions and the RCAF has begun to assemble 4 new squadrons of Interceptors and 4 new squadrons of dive bombers. Work continues apace on the HMCS Warrior and the keel of a second carrier the Magnificent has been laid. At the same time the construction of 4 Destroyer squads has begun.

Japanese army is currently seeking to counter this by equipping
Commonwealth forces with the most modern equipment and training.

Nice way to explain the HMCS prefix for your ships. Are you planning to build battleships and battlecruisers as well? Or are you planning to build a powerful carrier task force to use against the IJN when war comes?
Also, what is going to be your battleplan when ww2 breaks out? Are you going to send troops to north africa, invade italy, liberate norway, etc? Or are you planning to send your army to burma and the pacific theatre?

I hope all at the same time so we'll see some real action.
And please don't act too fast in pacific,allow Japanese to deploy 5-6 divisions to important islands.It's always good to see 3 elite marine divisions beating 6 chinese infantry divisions.

Lets not go overboard, I'm more comparable in capabilities to France.
As for my plans they were to send an Army to Europe and to prepare to for offensives in Italian Ethiopia and North Africa. A strong force will also have to be left Australasia to deter the Japanese.

The fears of the Ministry of Imperial Intelligence so came to fruition as the
Japanese drove ever deeper into China. The capability of the Chinese to
resist had simply been broken by the summer offensive. On February 24th 1939
the Japanese announced the destruction of all resistance and the permanent
annexation of China into the Japanese Empire.

Though no guns fired, the situation in Europe was no less threatening as the
Nazi party orchestrated the annexation of Austria by Germany to the wild
applause of its citizenry. With this move the balance of power in central
Europe has been greatly altered in Germany's favor.
After receiving no resistance to his remilitarization of the Rhineland and the
annexation of Austria, Hitler quickly pressed forward with further demands. He
insisted that the Czechs cede the Sudetenland. Against Prime Minister
Curtin's advice Chamberlain gave into all of Hitler's demands and came home
to London claiming "Peace in our time." Barely six months passed before the
Germans annexed the rest of Bohemia and set up a Slovak puppet state. It
looked like War in our time was quickly becoming a much more likely
possibility.

In the summer if '39 the next crisis arose as Hitler demanded the Poles cede
Danzig so as to connect East Prussia with the rest of Germany. It looked like
war would break out for sure as both Britain and France threatened war if
Germany used force against Poland. However the news of the Germany-Soviet
Non-aggression pact struck Poland like a thunderbolt and they meekly folded
to German pressure ceding the ancient Baltic city of Danzig, and for a short
time it seemed that war would not come after all.

As the crises came ever quicker with ever more severity the Ministry of
Imperial Defence began the mobilization of four armoured divisions, three
tactical bomber wings, and twelve Destroyer flotillas.

Been so long since I posted an AAR here I forgot all about that rule. I got rid of them and will replace them with something else. Or maybe I'll just crop the picture, I'll figure something out.

I don't actually mind the swastikas at all, but rules are rules.
If Poland isn't in the Allies what will happen when the Germans inevitably attack them?
Also nice naval buildup. How much do you plan on contributing to the war in Europe or will you focus solely on facing Japan?

Basically that event broke the chain and allowed Germany to go on a rampage unchecked for far to long. Saying anything else would be spoilers.
