1948...the year in review.
Dec 25th, 1948
On the morning of Christmas, the 4th Mongol HQ division is commissioned.
Yanjmaa (Armaments): The 4th and last HQ division completed and per the given directive, it should go to…. our elite Genghis Khan Armija! Congrats, General Badrak!
Gen Badrak (Genghis Khan Armija): Muahahaaa! I felt bestowed with so much power that I gonna explode!!!
FM Choybalsan (Chief of Army): You deserve it!
Yanjmaa (Armaments): You’re too far in the frontlines in former Soviet so the HQ will be deployed here in Kaunas first and move over land to your position.
Dec 29th, 1948
New naval bomber air-wings created!
Yanjmaa (Armaments): We just roll out two new naval air-wings from the hangars of Hainan airbase!
Ulanhu (Chief of Airforce): Even more firepower from the air! For these naval bombers, their range is far superior at 1300km! That is a clean 1000km more range than our CAS bombers!
Ganbaatar (Chief of Navy): I’m thankful for whatever weapons that can assist our young navy!
Yanjmaa (Armaments): These new divisions will be rebase to bigger and better equip airbase in Okinawa to prepare themselves for the first sortie.
Jan 1st, 1949
A new year begins to mark a passing of a successful year of Mongol conquest and another glorious year ahead!
Choybalsan (Chief of Army): I’m sure our empire is looking pretty and BIGGER than the same time last year!
Chimid (Chief of Staff): We have completed conquest of the Iberia, made major inroads into Africa… more than half of the continent has been taken and progress deep into Eastern Europe. We shall be able to liberate Soviet into its former glory this year…
Luvsansara (Head of Gov): Oh yes… yes! Just make sure we pursue Hitler to the end. How about the Far East? When can we finish off Japan?
Choybalsan (Chief of Army): We have already begin island hopping operations in South East Asia. I believe we can finish off Japan for good this year too. Their naval fleets that are wandering aimlessly in the ocean still poses a threat. I wonder where on earth they still get the fuel to run their ship rudder?!
Amar (Head of State): Sounds like a good year ahead for 1949 too! Just make sure it happens to plan!
Luvsansara (Head of Gov): With our expanded empire, do we have enough troops to safeguard the interest of the empire and also continue our conquest?
Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Our armies has been growing at a phenomenal rate! Since appointment of Madam Kollontay as Security Minister, our manpower recruiting rate has more than doubled and that contributed greatly to expanding our army. We have now 166 infantry divisions from the total of 185 land divisions. Our army is probably the biggest in the world, only second to Soviet.
Chimid (Chief of Staff): Kollontay has been instrumental in the success of Mongol army expansion! As you see, Soviet has been a helpful ally. Mongolia is now recruiting manpower all over the world at a rate of 2700 men a day!

Of which less than 100 I think is native Mongolian actually!

o
Luvsansara (Head of Gov): Simply excellent! We have an international army all fighting for the cause of Khan! We have been accepted by the people of the world! Our empire truly stretches from Pacific to the Atlantic! Genghis himself could only reach the Mediterranean but we have gone further! Do we have issue with supply logistics on our so very vast empire?
Yanjmaa (Armaments): Our so called TC, a term coined by Lhumbe is running in the 40-50% typically. Partisan activities sucks up the most resources on our available transportation.
Kollontay (Minister of Security): But we will tame them over time… faster if you actually annexes them instead of keeping them under occupied territories! They need to lose the sense of their identity and hence their patriotism! So they will only have allegiance to Mongolia.
Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Don’t worry, the major Axis powers will be annexed this year.
Luvsansara (Head of Gov): How are our military talents growing?
Chimid (Chief of Staff): Under my leadership, they are all improving immensely! Look at the roster here on each unit commander, skill ratings and experience! We are getting better for sure! Including myself, we have so far nine generals or of higher rank. Our most skilled commander will be General Badrak of Genghis Khan unit which we awarded him his own HQ unit a week back!
Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Just don’t promote him ok, I won’t tolerate a more skillful Field Marshall than myself! But I certainly respect that veteran. He has been fighting for the greatness of Mongol since our first campaign against Sinkiang!
Chimid (Chief of Staff): Don’t worry, you’re the Army Chief!
Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Our armies are growing fast so the number of division under each unit commander has also enlarged hence the spike of promotion of new generals that can command a higher number of divisions more effectively compare to a Lt-Gen. I foresee this trend to continue unabated.
Luvsansara (Head of Gov): Let’s hear it from our Air-force. I hear that our CAS fleets are very much into supporting the land and sea battles!
Chimid (Chief of Staff): Definitely! One of the key to our success! They help soften enemy strongholds, wipe off enemies before they could fully regroup after retreating and one very important one, sink enemy vessels!!
Ulanhu (Chief of Air-force): Yeah right, baby! My CAS fleet are unstoppable! We have 45 air-wings in operation from West Africa coast to South East Asia! Assigned for naval patrols, direct ground combats and even naval-base defense. And also do not forget 17 interceptors air-wings to defend our precious CAS fleet and stop enemy bombers from harassing our empire especially in Europe!
Ganbaatar (Chief of Navy): I am counting on them to protect our naval fleet which we’re still trying to build. The CAS group is darn good at taking on both Axis and Allies ships alike! Look at the score-chart!! This is the list of sunk capital ships since we begin the war! It sure gonna grew longer by the month due to our active island hopping operation in South East Asia and shore landings in West Africa which will attract more enemy navy! Here is the list of enemy ships we have sunk so far! All by CAS, not the navy! At this rate, I may not be required at work! Muahahaaa!
Luvsansara (Head of Gov): We have done well even before we really roll out our naval fleet! Thanks to the projection of our Cavalry Air Strikes, our shores will be safe!
In the midst of the yearly review by the war cabinet, a sudden announce came through…
Luvsansara (Head of Gov/Foreign Minister): Got a telegram here! Another South America country is ganging up on us! This time….. Paraguay!
Amar (Head of State): Para.. What?! Nevermind, it’s good for us! They are certainly inviting us over the Atlantic!!
Chimid (Chief of Staff): South America is already within striking range with our naval bases in Western Africa. We can strike once we wrap up Africa!
Jan 2nd, 1949
The war cabinet meeting drag on to the wee hours of the next day.
Luvsansara (Head of Gov/Foreign Minister): Ok, before we call off the cabinet meeting, any other matter to discuss? We have earlier decided to keep our successful cabinet intact without any reshuffling.
Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Oh yes, our domestic policy! Many people are enticed to join our victorious Mongol army including from new lands of the empire! We can afford to choose the best and do not need any drafting at all! It is an all volunteer force for a Standing Army!
Luvsansara (Head of Gov/Foreign Minister): Certainly, my great general! An full Standing Army for the Empire of Mongol!
Chimid (Chief of Staff): Brilliant! With the best people taken in, our new recruits going to the front line are not green at all but instead with experienced!!!
With this new policy, a new Mongol division comes with
+20 XP!! A star!!
With the war cabinet meeting over, it is time to turn to the frontlines again! Choybalsan took a ride in Mongol’s new turbojet VIP passenger plane that took him from Ulan Bator to the battle frontlines in couple of hours!
Nyambuu (Intel): We will cut off German forces at the Urals when we push towards the Arctic Barents Sea at Mezen! They are commanded by FM Rommel, former commander of the Afrika Korps. Apparently he was darn good there but by the time we reach Egypt, there is no German forces in Africa anymore. Looks like the Allies has already kick him out!
Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Which means Rommel’s so called greatness is a mere lie! He shall lose here in the barren Soviet tundra like how he lost in the barren Saharan deserts! The landscape is all the same, just that one is hot and another cold!
Commanding 22 divisions, Choybalsan’s forces attack across icy river and battling over frozen marshes to take on the German in what could be Rommel’s last stand! The fortification and dug-in troop position did not help the Germans as they are fighting on empty stomach and low on ammo!
Within a day of intense fighting, German forces are in full retreat to the port city of Archangelsk! Rommel has chosen to run!!
Chimid (Chief of Staff): Run like a squirrel! Back into your hole!
But most did not make it, 8 CAS air-wing from Moscow begin bombing the beleaguered forces of Rommel. Few survive. And Mongol is one step closer to major victory!
