So, as Roman Emperor my oldest daughter Valeria, shortly after her 16th birthday, asks to dedicate her life to religion and become a nun. Having no pressing political need for her to marry, I agree.
A short time later, in her twenties, this "bride of christ" presents me with another surprise - a bastard son. Given that my character is both kind and charitable, I don't even consider having the spymaster "deal with it", and so we have a new addition to the court. Valeria, I imagine, is presumably off to do penance or whatever nuns do after having a baby....
... or maybe she isn't. A few years later Valeria tells me that she wants to marry one of the Varangian guard. Well, I guess if that's what you want.. Oh? You're keeping the nun trait? Well, good for you. I guess you and your soldier husband can find a nice newlyweds apartment in the convent.
Anyone had a worse nun/monk than Valeria? I mean, as a non-religious type IRL I'm all for her going for what makes her happy, 'vows' be damned, but her Mother Superior must be facepalming every morning.
