You asked what the British are up to, and I cannot truthfully answer that question. I've left the view on limited, so I don't really know where there armies are, but they have to be somewhere. I know there's quite a few in Kamerun

The fronts can be alittle irritating, especially when partisans starting messing up your borders, but I hope the last map gave a clearer idea of how the front is looking in the east

I know you are not th eonly person who has read everything up to this point in one setting, so thank you to everyone who took the time to read it all at once. I imagine that took a long time to do, and so I consider it a great compliment that you would do so.
You asked about the tech tree, I started researching something at the start of the war, but to be honest I don't really remember what it was. Vicky only allows you to learn one new tech per year, so I don't expect to be making any great teach gains. I could trade tech with my allies, but seriously have you seen my allies.

I guess great minds must think alike at least in this one area. I was also thinking about Gettysburg when I wrote about unexpected battles. I don't expect Breslau to live up to Gettysburg, but we'll see.

this would mean less headaches for Austria... although from what it looks like Serbia could win a war against Austria on it's own right now...

More great news on the naval battlefront!
That unit that snuck into Bavaria is interesting. I wonder if he's trying to defect! After all, he's the lead element, has fought his way all the way from Russia, through all of the Austrian lands, and finally come to rest on your doorstep. Doesn't seem to have been very concerned about the rest of Austria...
Actually, I'm rather interested in the reasons why the AI is avoiding the central Austrian lands. Is the Austrian AI and defensive network actually functioning, but just hasn't the capability to protect the capital? Very interesting.

I think Austria is just trying to keep holding without any real attempts to regain land... and from the looks of that Russian army, I dont blame them.

Hmmm Russians in Bavaria cannot be good. Are you worried or will it be under control soon?
by the looks of the Eastern Front....with that long stretch of land the Russians have is it me or are they setting themselves up for getting cut off? Excellent job on fighting a superior british fleet and tne remnants of the French fleet. Soon France will take her final small breathe.
The Austrian Question
Every since it became obvious that the Austrians were planning on "sitting this war out," I have been pondering how to reflect their inevitable collapse, in the AAR, and this is what I came up with:
Austria's minorities will declare themsleves independant if their primary city is liberated.
The following nations will declare themselves independant, and join the Allies.
Bohemia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Bosnia.
These nations will declare themselves independant, but will find themselves at war with both Austria and Russia.
Poland, and Ukraine.
Obviously I don't expect Poland or Ukraine to be able to defeat both the Austrians and Russians, but I felt that the Russians would not allow those two minorities to acheive independance becuse of the unrest it would cause in Russia.
Hopefully this will allow for a smooth breakup of the Hapsburg Empire that will be both playable and realistic.

Great AAR. One of the best I have read in a long time. Dont count the austrians out just yet. if you cut off the ruskies and push them back, austria could still rebound. The question I have is that if you successfully pull Mexico and the US into the fray then do you invade North America. You could land in Canada and Mexico and force the US in a sandwitch.

I would say that is a possibility, but we'll see how the war develops, and many and how bad the revolts are. I honestly don't know yet how it is all going to play out.
One possible argument against anchluss will be if the Austrians perceive that the collapse of the empire could have been avoided with better German support. In which case there will be resent ment towards Germany, and a peacefull anchluss will not be possible.

The capitals of Bohemia and Slovenia have each been liberated, and with that provisional governments were established by the Allies.
In addition to that the Russians have liberated most of the Austrian held Ukrainian territory. This creates an interesting scenario, because the Russians are firmly against an independent Ukraine of any size.
The Italians likewise were opposed to an independent Slovenia (they wanted those lands for themselves), but their conduct in the war so far did not give them much leverage with the Russians and British.

Well their goes the austirans, not like you needed them anyways. question will you liberate poland, estonia, etc once you deal with the russians?
