Gedicke Off the Coast of Dover
In today’s update we will keep our attention on Gedicke and the naval battle taking place off the coast of Dover.
The American squadron has no dreadnaughts, giving the Germans a very decisive advantage.
The lack of dreadnaughts keeps the Americans from inflicting any major damage on the German ships while Gedicke’s dreadnaughts slowly dismantle the Americans.
While Gedicke has the Americans at bay, I thought it time to try a new strategy that takes advantage of the game mechanics. I put the German transports in the same sea zone as Gedicke and the Americans (yea I know what you’re thinking). The theory is that any Allied ships will automatically engage in the battle, while any German ships (the transports) will be left out. In this way we should be able to load the transports unmolested (that’s the theory at least).
With a new plan in place, Gedicke goes about the task of wiping out the Americans, while trying not to shoot his own transports.
