A major flaw is, you will be forced to restart at least 3 times in one sitting. There is a event which makes a speech event play, and they loop nonstop. It says in the event popup to type "Event 10" in console to restore the proper music... but you can't do console commands in multiplayer, thus the whole game has to be restarted (unless you can deal with a 20 second speech being repeated over and over).

No idea, im playing a game right now against AI with Kahless (who posted in this thread), i'm UK and he is US, its only 1939 so there hasn't been much combat besides naval and air skirmishes. We are playing tonight around 10:30 eastern if you want to join us.

OK, I admit it: I was wrong.

Loaded up a game as Germany, and decided to grit my teeth and play out a game, just to give it a full chance. I'm actually quite enjoying it. :p I've finished off Poland, and am sitting on the Siegfried line waiting for the weather to clear so I can attack.

Something I quite like is the increased build time for infantry units. I'm less enamoured about some of the dissent events, however, I must admit, the AI is even better in this edition than the old one. The UK tried an attack in Kiel which was only repelled back as I managed to get some armour over there in time before they secured a beachhead. Once Poland, had been taken and I'd redeployed to the French border, they attack in Konisburg- I then manually attacked Denmark to prevent them getting supplies and starved them off, though it seems the AI is much more agressive in this version. The French also tried to go through the Siegfried line, but were stalled long enough unit my troops got back.

The SS units are a great addition that, IMO, was something sorely lacking in the HOI2 game. One question on them though- I started off with two SS motorised divisions, and have just recieved an event which builds 3 mechanised (or armoured, I can't remember) SS divisions.

How many of these divisions will I get in total? They add a nice bit of flavour to the game I must say.

This is WAD.Memel(Klaipeda)is too small to be worth giving the whole province to germany,you get a bigger harbour in Königsberg instead.

About the "Special german division", i don't know exactly, bu you are supposed to receive (or build) a few in 39 which are a kind of heavy mot., then around 41-42 a few heavy mec., and finally in 44 which are full armoured. Keep in mind you won't have possibility to build some without the events, so you'll have to carefully preserve you divs.

Downloaded platinium and liked it but have still problem with musics..
Some of musics works just well as they should (like Moscow defenders march seems to work everytime correctly) but some of them doesn't work but when they should play, there is only terrible creak/sputter. Vanilla's musics works well. I have SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio (5.12.01.3663)

Do other people have same problem and is there solution for this?

I have problem still with offensives too, don't simply get breakthroughts but in weeks even if I use TACs/CAS, their org drops quickly to <20 but then they are abke to keep it too long (they get reserves in to the province)

Well France just fell, and I'm now finishing off Norway/Sweden/Yugoslavia/Greece, and will attack the USSR when the NAP expires. Don't have many mobile units though- 5 armour and something like 12 mots, including the SS divisions. Gonna have to crank out a group of armoured divisions before Barbarossa. USSR is looking scary with all their IC...

I'm currently having a really fun game with Mao, I conquered the puppet of Nat. China in the west, then I went on liberating Tibet and Sinkiang. One question about it, Sinkiang isn't Core of Communist China (And neither of Nat. China)

Reason for this? Plus, I don't have HK and Macao as core. Will this be added by event? And will my cores on Mongolia be removed by event, in exchange for Sowjet support?

I think playing the US should be a good approach. You're not involved in war till Pearl Harbour, you won't have ressources problems, you've got a lot of IC, manpower...

This bug should be fixed anyway. Do you use the final version ?
