Yes, very nice (and obviously strong) techteams for SOV. ;)

But i'm a bit sad about the ship tree ending with 1945 models. Is the final shiptree setup for Platinum??
I know you main goal is to model WW2 long as in reality, but i think this is a sad decision to offer no better models than 1945 (even earlier last models for some types of ships) ... A bit ahistorical war can last longer, or players could want to play some after-WW2 wars, and i think it could not be such a problem for you guys to place there some later ships.
(it's a bit weird too, if you have tank models from 1951 (and many other afterwar stuff) and no ships after 1945...) :(

The AI has been optimized for WIF combat system, WIF AI events and WIF balance.
I assume you don't like the combat system and you only want the AI, right ?
Then i will upload you the AI files.

I love WiF, its just I play other Mods, and I wish the AI is just as challenging as the WiF AI is.

Its SMEP / CDCP / New Nations pack. Nothing radically game changing.

With those mod you should be able to use WiF AI.

Ok so I still can't find a list of events but the person who posted about the Fading Sun actually triggering makes me happy since I can NOT get it to fire for the life of me on Compendium....however, I'm guessing you didn't add the event that China gets to demand Indochine before Japan if Fading Sun has fired?

Yes, Fading sun works ok in WiF, but no other China related capitulation events added, but there is nothing new from vanilla i think. And it's generaly probably the only thing which i like more in the other mod than in WiF, that there aren't any alternative, ahistorical or simply afterWW2 capitulation. I looked through SMEP yesterday (have never played with it), and i really appriciate their capitulation (or war spoils partitioning) events, lot of work done there.

But even admiring this, i still do not recommend playing SMEP with WiF AI instead of playing WiF itself, because without WiF's high defense values, and faster unit movement, the combat feeling just cant be right. WiF just rules! :)

(god bless "acceptall" and savegame-editing, which let us have much better peace settlements than any modder can ever make as events :D )

I noticed an interesting problem last night. I declined to attack Scandinavia as the Germans but proceeded to fight the Russians. Since Dunkirk's port icon obscures the beach icon, I neglected to garrison it and the Russians invaded there in the late fall of 42 with 2 infantry divisions. I counterattacked with 3 Panther divisions with SP-Art3 and 2 infantry divisions and made zero headway. It turns out that the province froze and since I have a -90%(!!!!) multiplier on attacks into frozen provinces, they can reinforce all they want.

I'll grant that it's probably not possible to just apply the frozen mod to the eastern front, so I can see keeping the severe modifier for the winter of 41-42, but when I got the event in march that gave me back my frozen attack, I got back only 7%. Having effectively no ability to attack in the winter is rather ahistorical for that point in time. Right now historically von Manstein's backhand blow is about to kick off and I'll be damned if I could dislodge a single partisan with 100+ divisions in the winter.

The problem with Winter War it's that the game engine doesn't allow for such a kind of war to happen historically. So if you want to make the Soviets have a very hard time as it happened in real life you have to give them big penalties, which clearly feel unrealistic. But wasn't it "unrealistic" that the Finns were able to hold the line for months during that war? There are things which can't be properly simulated, after all it's just a game.

Hi all,
I've got 2 questions, both concerning Fernando's great mod:

1. Surrender events in WiF platinum - will there be any? Honestly, it's the only major thnig I really miss in the mod. I know that these from vanilla were severely bugged, so it's high time for a new brand quality. It would be great, especially for those who like to follow strictly historical path.
2. If not - is it possible to apply such events from other mods? I tried "Post-Axis War mod" by Jones (sorry if quote is incorrect), but it hangs my game after being fired, unfortunately. Maybe Smep-events, but is there a way to apply it correctly together with WiF?

Thanks in advance! Fernando and betatester's team, your hard work is appreciated - keep up the good work! :)
