DEMOBILISATION MULTIPLAYER CO_OP US Vs USSR

HI to All,
Firstly a BIG THANK YOU! to Fernando & the rest of the team for a great mod! I have a question about demobilisation which I'm hoping people can answer. I am currently involved in a very enjoyable co-op game, in which the 2 teams are USSR & the US. We are in 1944 & Germany is not beaten but the writing is on the wall. So I am wondering how the 2 sides will be affected by the end of hostilities in Europe. I have found the event for the US but didn't really understand it & could not find any event for the USSR. Basically I would like to know what units each side loses to demobilisation. Also I was wondering about what sort of dissent hit is applicable for either team if they declare war after VE day. Hope someone can help.

Hi Fernando, a great great thanks and congratulations for your great job, again. Just a few questions.

I'm in November 1944 and Germany's defeat starts to look more or less sure. The problem is, I'm defeating them on my own! Something went wrong with the AI switches, I suppose, and the Allies didn't invade neither Italy nor France. They are not even trying to, because several french beaches have no garrisons, but still nothing happens... Certainly Stalin isn't happy about this lack of support :rofl:

I've loaded the game with Germany and I've seen that they have a huge manpower pool (+1500) but they are not reinforcing their depleted forces in the east, which is a shame :(

Another problem is that the Germans are behaving in a stupid way. They managed to reach Arkhangelsk back in '42, and then decided to put lots and lots of units there. I didn't look to the exact number, but there are some 150 divisions in just 5 provinces. I've been completely overruning them in the south, from Kursk to Brest-Litovsk in 5 months, but they haven't tried to use all these units from the north.

After all, these provinces have little value, while the ones I was conquering are rich in CI and resources... maybe the German AI is expecting too much from Ukraine? Or maybe the fact that they conquered Leningrad and several other provinces, ahistorically, has screwed up something?

I guess it's just a problem of AI and its limitations...

First off great mod, job well done am really enjoying it.

Im currently playing as USA want to play pretty historically so is there a way to stop Axis declaring war on me in 1940.I read somewhere that if Bermuda falls the axis will attack America (which they did, was great seeing Italian divisions landing on American soil, i crapped my pants).
So my question is how can i stop Bermuda falling into German hands if im not at war with Germany or with the allies(which i dont want to do till 41)??

maybe you have to aid UK greatly.


if you think Japan falls too quickly, i think editing the event a bit won't hurt, find the AI_jap in your events folder and add a few "#" as indicated in bold...below

Hi Fernando,

You said the checksum for arma 1.2 and wif has to be something like lsfh? Well I did a clean install of hoi II doomsday --> armageddon --> armageddon 1.2 --> mod WiF 1.0 --> 1.0b arma patch.

But I get RFLH as a checksum, can you tell me what am I doing wrong?

There is one.
JAP AI receives locked garrisons only if it is threatened. The issue of Japan not defending its homeland is bound to the multiple fronts war. I choose not to create a "Kwantung Army" state and to make a stalemate war in China so JAP AI is unfortunately unable to do everything. But its still really competent though.

If you play with "superhuman" level, AI receives many bonuses.

There were demobilization events for US/UK in 1.0 but they are deleted since 1.0b.

Are you sure that the Allies didnt even try to land somewhere ? Do they hold Africa at least ? It's amazing because in all games, DDay happens. GER AI problem might come from the unability for the AI to hold two fronts. I am currently having a close look at those multiple-fronts issues, if i get some success, i'll release them.

Unfortunately you can't, you're officially "at peace". You could play UK until Pearl Harbor occurs. But Fall Bifrost only happens a few time. (you might be unlucky :( )



@ ALL : just to let you know that there will probably be a 1.0c since i found some bugs in units stats. So if you have some fixes to request, i listen to you. I'm not saying i'll satisfy them all because i have a few extra time but i'll do my utmost.
Oh and we just reached the 3,000 downloads hehe. :cool:

OK hows this, i turn USA into a dictatorship join the allies and then get UK to trade me Bermuda then leave the alliance.Would that stop the trigger of Germany declaring war on USA in 1940 because they cant take Bermuda off the UK as i have it?

IIRC, that will stop the trigger.

you might try to install it with JSGME and install the mod to " Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Doomsday\MODS\WIF\"

and later press enable mod...

it seemed so!, i am very surprised to meet some 43 infantry.. all bombed to pieces though.

if you are using 13x divisions (your own) with some men from your allies it should go well if you do huge encirclements...i do some in Kiev (50), Smolensk (50-60), Estonia(20-25), Crimea(40), Finland(20) there are hardly any Soviet big stacks after that...not to mention i like to bomb divisions to pieces with my bombers.... i exclude countless small division killings such as a few divisions in Poland..., Sevastopol (only a bloody 3... ), Stalingrad (16), Moscow (forget, about 20) , Leningrad (8)

i suggest you to place some troops in north Norway and prepare to aid finland, you know that those finnish troops can really help hold out for quite a moment if you have just about 9-12 mountain troops there.

In my UK game I just wondered if there are any german naval ai switches as they have a huge stack of submarines just sitting in kiel harbour. They been there for a least a year. Its now the end of 1941. If they used them they could pose me a lot of problems. :cool:
