Hi,

Is there some trick to leaders in the game that I'm missing? I have field marshals, generals, etc. galore, but I keep getting army units that have 62/12 even if there are two generals and a field marshal there.

What should I be doing?
Hi,
I'm not sure I understand what is the problem? You have 62 div in a single province? A Field-Marshall will take command within the FM command limits(12 divs). You can put a HQ there and have 24 div. aptly commanded.

Ceki: Not yet. And the patch 1.3b is still in beta process.

I'm playing the Soviet Union on Challenging and I'm having some trouble. Can anyone offer some advice?

My units are like paper dolls compared to the German units. With a GDE of 0.5, and less than half the org of a German unit, I cannot hold my line at all. Even defending cities and over rivers does nothing to stop the German advance.

How can I hope to turn the tides? Even with what little defense I can muster, the Germans are past Kiev and Smolensk and its only early July. At this rate, they will have Leningrad and Moscow before the winter sets in.

During the peace years, I had to spend alot of time working on dissent. You only have roughly 200 effective IC with the difficulty and peace time penalties. Should I build industry or spam units or what? My army at the start of the German invasion was roughly 200 infantry divisions, 15 motorized and 15 armored.

Any advice would be great! Thanks.

I'm playing a hands-off (well, almost) game as Bulgaria. It's August 1941, Germany is making impressive progress in the Soviet Union. Dnepr line has fallen, and Moscow and Leningrad seem to be realistic objectives. Can AI Axis win Barbarossa? I'm preparing an expeditionary force, but it won't be able to fight before Decomber 1941 - am I doomed? ;)

And besides - splendid music.

Hold on until the Great Patriotic War speech event.

I played a prior game as the USSR and was totally unprepared for war, so I ended up losing that one badly. After my army was destroyed, I let the game run on extremely fast just to see how it all played out. The Great Patriotic War Speech fired in January of 42. Is the event scripted to fire then, or is it random?

I think I am doomed if I have to hold 5 more months; I'd have to restart and try a different build order. Or I guess I could try to salvage my army and retreat to a giant pocket around Moscow and Leningrad, allowing me to stay in supply and avoid the nasty fall of USSR event.

Thanks!

units via events

Is there a quick link, or can someone please explain to me how units are modded into the scenarios via events? I'm talking specifically about the units with custom statistics and portraits, like the German Brandenburgers/Tiger, and the UK Firefly. I like the flavor and variation these units add, and I'd like a crack at creating some of my own.

Thanks in advance.

By the way, fantastic mod Fernando. What is the status of THE?

Just a synopsis of my game (sorry no screenies): played on normal/normal. pretty standard opening moves, I built 2 runs of 10 factories, then upgraded air forces and started builiding inf and brigades with the rest. I researched just about everything and laid down Bismarck, Tirpitz, and 2 CV IV Seydlitz and Graf Zeppelin.

Opted for war with Yugoslavia in summer 1938. Greece and Romania both DOW on me in response. It was tough to conclude war with boh of them via negotiated peace before munich fired.

War with Poland went pretty well, annexed around oct 10. France was a much tougher nut to crack, with the war lasting all summer. Im still learning how to properly time attacks in order to pin down forces and enable freedom of movement with my mobile formations.

That's as far as Ive gotten. Wish me luck with Seelowe!

Well, that didn't work. Regardless of how I arrange my units, I just can't hold territory before my GDE goes up and/or winter falls. I did survive longer this time, until late August, but that wasn't enough. Winter did eventually come, and the Speech event fired in October 41 this time, but by then my pocket around Moscow/Leningrad was destroyed. I only had an army around Stalingrad. They actually held out really well with the extra GDE and winter effects. A pity it was too late...

Back to the drawing board. I'll need a better peacetime buildplan I suppose...

U.S.S.R conquers berlin.

I'm not sure if this post should be here but I'l put it here anyway.

In WW2 one of Stalin's main reasons to capture Berlin before the Allied was that he wanted the nuclear physics research and blueprints from the Germans to make their nuclear research move faster and create a nuclear bomb, because they were aware of Project Manhattan thanks to some Communist minded researcher in there.

So I'm just wondering will you add some kind of event into the Titanium Edition that gives soviets some nuclear power blueprints because usually (don't know if it's only me) I'm way to busy against Germans to research nuclear power when I need to research all sorts of doctrines/army upgrades and war stuff, so I have no time to research nuclear physics.

This is a suggestions/question, just wondering about it.

I downloaded the mod lastnight and started my first game at about 11pm, didn't manage to get to sleep until 2am thanks to how absorbing it was (and now i'm really tired here at work :p).

I'm playing the UK and enjoyed the moment war was declared against Germany, especially when Requiem For a Dream kicks in and a voice over of a Facist speech kicks in. Really get's you going, nice touch.

Anyways i know you didn't write this mod just for the nice music, but as i said i had to go to bed eventually so didn't get involved in much of the fighting, so will let you know how i feel about the AI's performance.
