We have a communication problem here. I GIVE UP!

I will fix the USA human player part of this mod myself as well as the Japanese effort.

I don't understand. What exactly do you want me to do for you ? And please remember I've just become the mod leader, so I have a lot of work to do, answering every people complaining and so on. So please be a little indulgent (in french : kind).

If I can fix you something, I'll do it, but not so fast as FT could have done it. I got a 45 hours a week full time job, and a social life appart of HOI.

I've been reading your post more carrefully and i know understand your problem. I will find how to fix it, but if you know how to do this, can you help me ? Please also remember i am no modder at all, but former in charge of the graphic part of the mod.

Picture problems.

I am haveing a problem with the new platinium mod. I have just started a game as Germany. My SS troppers hasn't a picture, but just a white X on a yellow background. And the Picture of Hitler isn't there, it is just a black square.

And a lot of other pictures in research too.

In WIF, all the multichoices events 'till Dntzig are firing 100% historical. So you Munich, Sudeten, Marco Polo and Dantzig events must happen. This is WAD. After all, if you play GER or JAP, you may not break the fronts and sometimes those events won't happen.

Please tell me if you all see an AI uncapable do take Nankin or Paris.

And if the player is France or China?

So if you are playing those countries, and if you manage to hold your lines, we are in a-historical case which is not (yet) well defined. So I'm going to check this.

so where in the event file is the files that set a music list? i hav a custom music playlist, so its real annoyin. also, why is morale of divisions so low?

Looks like the music events are under db\events\hoiEWWII.txt towards the bottom of the file (event 10 is the main one that is pulled up through F12, it's the second from last entry in this file).

Specific trees for UK, US, Japan, France/Italy (same), Germany, USSR and China. Puppets are following their masters trees. Any other countries are following the french/italian tree (lessons of WWI).

You've almost one doctrine a year to research.

I have played a Germany game in Platinum till spring 1940 so far, and i don't have any big problem with it.

Only think that i want to say is that the statistics of SS units seems a bit weird. Like if they were taken from another mod and not modified at all> Yes, they have extraordinary organization and both hard and soft attack, but why they have so small defense/toughtness? Almost 50 percent lower then ordinary infantry divisions?

Beside this, i want to thanks you, "49h", im glad to see you take your new role seriously, and i wish you best luck!

Playing a game as Germany, and wow....Italy gets utterly massacred in Platinum. Northern italy was invaded in 1941 - two years early! Also, I checked and there seem to be eight divisions in Tobruk that are locked....but I don't quite know why, considering UK and Italy were at war....

What am I supposed to do to make Italy at least put up a bit of a fight in N. Africa? The UK gets hordes of freebie troops and aircraft (as well as a MASSIVE 20 bonus morale for their aircraft.....) I'm not sure poor Italy can compete!

I'm playing as Germany in my first go through as well, in February 1941 right now. I'm actually doing well in Egypt, having overrun Alexandria by cutting through with armor in the southern deserts and bypassing that massive UK force. Got them nice and cornered in North Africa... but not sure how I'm going to close this pocket before Barbarossa.

Anyway, I've notice Italy does not garrison some of its provinces very well, which probably led to the early invasion. This AI is pretty aggressive with amphib assaults, I had a few small attacks on France's coast, and even one decent assault on Oslo. So it definitely pays to garrison those beaches with more than the standard 1 garrison.

Pretty fun all and all, though Barbarossa's starting to scare me (in a good way)

In my game Italy did something really nice (july 40). I went as germany to prepare the Africa Korps. I send some armor to Venice. Then i got that transport vessel and Italy decide just after that to make an amphibious assault on Alexandria. With good result. UK got the event lost an important city and i got a nice habour to send my armor to. With help from the Luftwaffe i could help the Italians and now they already got Suez and we create a nice pocket (near Al Alemein) with almost all UK divisions trapped.

Im sure we have enough time to even take on Gibraltar to close the Mediterranean Sea. So Italy is safe.

No, i'm not that kind of guy who steals things from other mods and claims he did them...
And certainly not from those you've quoted. I don't even play them.
German special units got low defence to take more losses.
Just to let you know.

Tengo un problema de instalación. Jugue a la versión gold y me pareció estupenda. De hecho la máquina me ganó. Quiero instalar tu nueva versión platino y una vez cargado el juego y seleccionado tu mod el juego se cuelga. Necesito saber si es un error del mod o bien lo instalo mal.

Los pasos que sigo son los siguientes: 1. Descargo el Hearts of Iron II Armageddon (es original). 2. Cargo la actualización 1.2. Luego descargo por este orden los graficos, la edición platino y por ultimo la música. Ya abra una carpeta con mod wif o no el juego se cuelga a la hora de ejecutar el mod.

Te agradecería mayor detalle en la instalación. Gracias.
