But the thing is... I can't see the "specificity" of doctrines... I mean, take your pic. If I develop the "Assault Humain Doctrine", which is a UK doctrine according to the tree, then the next doctrine I would expect to study is the "Guerre de mouvements", which is another UK doctrine, but actually the only doctrine I can research is the "Guerre des Tranches". And then, after I've researched that doctrine and the "Guerre d'Atrittion" one, the next doctrine I can research is... again "Guerre de Mouvements", but now the first one of the France/Italy brench of the tree.

When I see that picture I expect to research the doctrines from the first one under the name on the country (Assault Humain for the UK according to the pic) to the last one (Armes combinées) but instead, you switch from brench to brench as you do research.

In the end that means that when I research a doctrine, I don't know which one will I be able to investigate after that one! Because it "switches" from a brench to another.

Is this just happening to me or it's intended to work this way?

I've personnally tested UK and didn't see any problems. Are you playing UK or don you just want to follow the UK tree ? If so, you're not able to, only UK (and commonwealth and puppets) are allowed to research these techs.

Excuse me if it´s a stupid question, but...

I´ve downloaded WiF Platinum for DDA, and I can´t seem to find where or when I will be able to build/ research cags for my aircraft carriers. I´ve searched the forums, google, and the data files already, and I just don´t find it, so ... please help!!

CAGs will come by events. You have to research both Nav. Bombers and Interceptor/Fighter, then you'll be able to upgrade your CAGs.

The changelog does not state that. A whole lot of people never ever have researched either INT or NAV as the US in any game because they never build them. If they need to do so now, why is it not stated in the changelog/readme???

Nope, sorry. Megaupload is not stable in times, with limited bandwith. Strategium is the WIF's home, so the files are only on Strategium. Sorry.

OK, tell me which country you're playing, it will be easier. As you can see, some trees have connections. IE, both France, UK, Italy, US and Japan have "Lessons od WWI" in commons. Then US is searching "Materials (?) Assault" as the others will search "Human Assault". After that, UK's got a specific sub-tree, and so on... Understood ?

I was playing Poland. It was like you said, but the first doctrine I could research was "Human Assault" and then "Lessons of WWI", and not the other way around (as I think your post implies).

So if you're playing Poland, you might follow the french/italian tree, which is generic.

GER-USSR strange outcome when honour the MR-pact

Ok I did annex Poland as GER, but USSR did occupied at that time Krakow and Przemsyl. Then the event honour the MR-pact fired. All went well except that Krakow is now still in USSR hands.

It should be given to germany right?

I'll check this, but, yes, it should.

Nanjing Massacre and US Research Speed

It appears that if the Nanjing Massacre (id = 3724) never happens that the US research speed will be permanently retarded 5% for the rest of the war. Is that WAD?

Also, Peace Economy id = 38000 permanently takes away -50% research speed and -10% IC. If say Germany invades England and id = 3765 fires and Paris has not fallen, and as well as id = 3793 (Situation of Unlimited Urgency) then US will permanently be at -10% IC and -10% research speed forever. Again -- is this WAD?

You need to be very careful with taking something away that later you intend to give back if your later events that give it back do not fire because of some unexpected chain of events.

More on messing with IC's and Peace Economy and Research Speed

The trap you all have fallen into here was that in the past there was an IC take away for being at peace and it all came back when you were at war. No problem -- a piece of cake. Now you are taking away research speed when at peace but giving it back in small chunks and a final bigger chunk when at war -- but all the small chunks are not always given back.

Your system has become so complicated that it takes an accountant to figure it out too. It don't always all add up. See what I am getting at?

Peacetime research speed and IC are completely WAD. Anyway, if you're playing against IA, unless you've done something unusual (minister assassination, etc...), everything should fire normally (Nankin, Paris...).

Anyway, when you'll be at war, you should retrieve normal speed ans IC, plus the war bonuses. Please remember USA are, in WIF a real superpower.

And how do you guys feel with US manpower ?

I haven't tested platinum yet but it's not always certain that provinces like Nanjing or Paris are captured.

In WIF, all the multichoices events 'till Dntzig are firing 100% historical. So you Munich, Sudeten, Marco Polo and Dantzig events must happen. This is WAD. After all, if you play GER or JAP, you may not break the fronts and sometimes those events won't happen.

Please tell me if you all see an AI uncapable do take Nankin or Paris.
