Under Antso IV
For more than four years, peace prevailed. Lord Eneko kept expanding his studies and a visible change was operated. Although he was never able to suppress his stutter completely, his lisp vanished over time.
Feeling his forces decline and the end of his days come closer, he found solace remembering the many years
While not being as successful as before finding a suitable bride for his second son, a fine woman was chosen and she added two children to the dynasty.
Just before the same could be done with his third son, new dangers lurked in the horizon.

"I-Is any wonder that King Antso lives in a perpetual state of fear? His own brothers betray him not once, but twice!"
Toda approached Lord Eneko. Her face was like a lifeless statue's.
"My husband. We have another question to discuss. Privately."
The council was dismissed and the couple took a seat. They were both growing old and Toda looked like he could collapse.
"Oh, Eneko. Our son Galindo. I can't..."
Feeling the floor opening at his feet, his husband just uttered.
"What?"
"He... he is trying to kill you."
"D-do you have any evidence?"
"Yes."
Lord Eneko went pale with rage. Shouting for the guards while his wife tried to calm him down, he stormed Galindo's chamber and caught him by surprise. Galindo knew that he was lost.
"Y-you ingrateful son! You ingrateful brat! I was planning to marry you to a countess! You would have had a position! Your children would have been counts by their own right! You... Guards!Throw him on irons!"
Unable to say anything, Galindo found himself locked up for good.
"Send a message to Pamplona, for King Antso. Let him know this: if he want his brother's head removed, I am more than happy to oblige!"

For two years, the war raged for no avail. At the end, the Count was pardoned.
Eneko was not happy with that outcome and personally traveled to Pamplona to make his position clear.
"Why, my liege? He will rise again, don't doubt it."
"Maybe, Eneko. But then, I would stain my hands with even more blood of my family. You imprisoned your son, but you didn't kill him. Why?"
"B-ecause... B-Because he is my son. I had so big plans for him. I already betrothed my son Antso with a princess of your blood."
The King nodded.
"Then, forgive him. Find him another countess to marry."
Antso looked Eneko in the eyes.
"Remember. We are but a fleeting spark of the flesh. But our family... Our family could live for centuries. Or forever in the legend."
"We lose so many good men everyday. To war, to illness and to time. Even I can see that there is no point to endless grudges."
The King laughed loudly.
"The Church consider me a cynical. Look at me now!"
"Speaking of marriages! It's true that you are trying to marry young Belasko to yet another princess? You are bound to run out of then eventually!"
"Well. It will take some time. Maybe a year or two, but I am sure that I can find him someone suitable."
"Don't forget your daughter Eilo. I think that she could be even worthy of a King!"
Eneko simply smiled with skepticism.
"Remember, Eneko. Family. At the end, is all that matters."

For two more years, Galindo languished at the dungeon. Until, one day, when he awoke, he found the door open and his father waiting outside.
"Father?"
"You are free of the dungeon. But not totally free. You are engaged. Good luck."
Galindo embraced his father.
"I am so sorry, father. So sorry."
"A man doesn't cry! If you must, thank King Antso's and your sister's constant pleas. They think that you can make us proud, after all."
"Yes, father!"
"I will send for someone to wash you. And they tell me that you were well treated..."
1985
This year saw two really wonderful happenings that made Lord Eneko's aging heart a lot warmer.
First, his daughter came of age and was married to... A King! Not only that, three other candidates were at least of ducal standing. Saying that Eneko was proud would be a understatement.
Second, later that year, Lord Eneko invited his son and heir to his private chambers and had a conversation with him.
"M-my life is slowly fading, my son. But I am still able to enjoy some good things. Like this plane. I think that it is a real beauty."
"Father! Is this really what I think it is?"
"Yes. The new town for Irun. I thank God that I had the chance to see it built."
