Moscow, Kursk, and Pskov laid in ruins. Their amies were deafted and beaten. rebels were launching rebellions in 2 provinces which could be spreading to others. only time would tell what the outcome of this war would be but we don't.

That is never good...ill be watching how you get yourself out of this one.

That is a real tough situation to be in. It may be worth giving up a province, even. But at least General Winter will be on your side.

Your need for allies is pressing - Sweden, Teutonic Knights, Poland, Hungary, Moldavia, Wallachia. Try and White Peace the states you don't have a border with (even the Danes). Then make peace with one of the two remaining states and let the remaining one feel your wrath.

An alliance with the Swedes is a must if you ever want to roll up Sibir in peace.

Destruction and victory

The war was going bad. Nothing was going to the russian advantage except that they had an army in the north away from where Lithiuania could get to them. most of russia was destroyed or being ransacked. the country was in turomiol and this turmoil was going to stay until the end of the war. Pskov was seiged by the russians and after a while they took the city. This was the start of the turn around from the chaos they just experinced. They then marched on to moscow. Moscow was seiged and destroyed. Anything that the lithanians had was taken back. Vasily then marched into other cities taken by the Lithanians. He tried to attack lithuania but failed. Moscow though wasn't going to fall a second time, Vasily made sure that wasn't going to happen again.

While the war was waging in russia and lithuania, Vasily was able to meet with Aleksander I of Bulgaria. Aleskander was the son of Petar III who lead his people to freedom from the Ottoman empire. Vasily's father Ivan IV had gave one of his daughters to Petar III as a way to help his nation. Vasily had a hard time getting to Bulgaria, due to the fact that most land was blocked by the war going on. He was able to get a boat from georgia and sale to Bulgaria from georgia along the black sea. The sea put vasily at calm who if he was back in russia would be worried out of his mind due to the strains of the war put on him. "Greetings, Grand Prince Vasily!" a bulgarian gaurd said to Vasily. "Greetings." Vasily said to the gaurd and walked up the stairs to the entrence of the bulgairain place. Vasily then meet his cousin Alesander. "greetings, Vasily." Aleksander spoke back to him and pat him on the back. "Greetings to you too, Aleksander." Vasily replied at the same time they pated each other on the back. "I came here to talk about forgining an allaince between our two nations." Vasily said to Aleksander. "I can't join the war with you, the ottoman empire would take the opporetinty and strike me, but I will send you aid in your war of defence." Vasily's cousin said. "Thank you cosin." Vasily said, and then departed back home in Russia.

In russia things were less then calm. The were rebles everywhere. the only goverment was the army who was defending russia. most towns took to themselves during this time, and many more planned on demanding from Vasily to end the war immiditaly. The army was no longer in russia anymore it was in livion and started seiging the cities and taking them. The soliders took everything that they could. If it was nailed down then they hacked the nails of and took it that way. The soliders burned, piliged, and everyother sin that is commitied in war. True to Aleksander's word, he sent aid back with Vasily Who was shocked to find out that a tatar province joined the Crimerian horde and left the russian empire.

with the aid from Aleksander, Vasily was able to attack lithuania in lithuania instead of being on the defence. the russian army destroyed lithuania. The russian army destroyed everything they found. The war had finaly turned against the lithuanians. many towns and cities fell to the russians. Victory seemed in sight but Vasily died before he could see Victory for his nation. His wife took control of the russian empire, until his son grew of age. Soon The lithanians offered peace giving up the lands that russia had claims on. Then She went to work precuring peace form the rest of the danes allies. and after ending the war with the livion order in exchange for gold, the peace came between the Russians and the Danish empire and their allies. At long last the war which lasted about a decade was over. Peace was coming back to russia which it so much wanted to hold in its hands for even the barest amount of time. The question is could this peace last or would the clouds of war come again like they been coming.

All in all it sounds like a regular Time of Troubles - only 70 years too early! :) Well done holding it all together.

It certainly does. You dug in and kept fighting. More to the point, you did not throw away your remaining army. Pity Vassily did not live to see the peace his tenacity made possible.

The Crimean Horde has come to your attention now. Do you plan to go to war with them to regain your defecting province or do you have something more permanent planned for that Horde?

a short war

Following the peace with Lithuania, Elena Glinskaya Ivan's wife, a letter was delivered to the Kremlin. It was from the king of Bulgaria and urgent news to the Elana.
Dear Grand Princess Elana:
I still mourn for your dead husband. I was his friend and loyal ally even if not on paper. I know you need peace but The ottoman empire threatens this peace for not just but for us as well. The ottomans have invaded our lands, and they are calling for jihad again. this Jihad might be a crusade against all Christendom, not just Europeans but Russians. The khan of the Crimean Horde is the brother in law of the Ottoman sultan. This is not a good sign, most likely the khan will get involved in this war. This might be a good chance to recover the lands that the traitors in that province did.

Sincerely,

Alexsander IV of Bulgaria

"My lady, what do you want me do?" a messenger asked Elana. "Send this letter to Alexsander." Elana said and handed the messenger a letter. The war did come as Alexsander predicted. But This time Russia wasn't without allies. Albania, Bulgaria, Poland, and some Italian City. Even though Elana wouldn't rule the Russian empire for the entire war she helped ensure that the war wouldn't turn into the blood bath that her husband went through a few years ago. War with the Swedes was adverted, The king of Sweden threatened Elena with war. Elana not wanting war gave the king of Sweden money of around 125 docuts.

Ivan Shuishiki came to the throne of Russia during the time Ivan IV was growing up. Shuishiki's greatest triumphed was that he concluded peace with The ottoman empire. This was still favorable to the Bulgarians. the Bulgarians were still experiencing raids with the Turks for they had taken a vassle's land, Wallachia, but Russia was not involved this time. Shuishiki did what he could for The Bulgarians. Peace was something that Russia needed now more then ever. With an alliance maybe they can have peace for a while.
