Old enemies

Vasily after deafting the Lithuanians, Livion Order, and the Danes. An old ennimy came to his doors. The tartars were attacking under a new banner, Siberia's. Sibir who was only recently discovered by Lyapun a few years ago. Sibir was at first not much of a problem. Their were the regularly incursion to plunder the colonies in the East above the lands of Russia. This conflict was just another war upon Russia. Russia was on the defensive for the best few wars. this was getting on Vasilie's nerve.

Valise's plan on deafting Sibir was a clever plan. Attacking from the front of there land would fail. For The tartars were marching toward his land. so Vasily sent his best men to kick their back door down. By attacking from behind their was a better chance that many lands could bee taken. This war was going according to plan when a monkey wrench was tossed into it. The Swedes in their mighty empire came down and invaded Russia. This could of destroyed Russia but soon an unexpected gift came from the South. The Kahn of Uzbek had came to the conclusion that this war was not any use for his tartar empire and sent a diplomat to meet with Yuri Mikahilovich Bartkowski. Yuri didn't like meeting this tartar especially. He could mind the ones from Sibir for they are more like the golden hordes which weren't as bad considering they could be russinized more easily. but the ones from Uzbek were more closer to Turks or Mongols. This made Yuri wary of what was going to happen.

"My lord, the diplomat from Uzbek is here. The Siberians sent him a translator for he doesn't under stand our language." Peter told Yuri.
"Good, I hope he beehives himself." Yuri said.
"تحيات يورى." The Muslim tartar said.
"Greetings Yuri." The translator told Yuri.
"So what have you came here for?" Yuri asked, the Muslim asked something which couldn't be heard to his translator.
"الكبرى خان كوشكونشي اعلنت ان هذه الحرب هي اتعاب له." The Tartar said in Arabic.
"The Great Khan Kuchkunchi has announced that this war is tiring him." The translator told Yuri
"Now why is that. doesn't he want to win something from us" Yuri told the translator which told it to the tatar.
"الكبرى خان كوشكونشي جدت أن ليس من المفيد الحصول حلفائه في سيبير يستمع إليه أو غيرها." the tartar said.
"The Great Khan Kuchkunchi has found that their is nothing useful to gain his allies in Sibir will listen to him or else." The translator said.
"Very well, My lord seeks an end as well." Vasily said.
"الشكر للاجتماع يوري.نسأل الله ان يبارككم وشعبكم." The tartar said and started to leave.
"Thanks for the meeting Yuri. May Allah bless you and your people." The translator said and then left with the tartar.

this was a good help. Vasily was told that this was a blessing from God. But this didn't deal with the problem of the Swedes. The Swedish army was still in Russia. Vasily had ordered men from the areas around to rally to his cause and strike at the hated Swedes. This of course helped but in the end didn't do anything to help him. Even once the army that was in Sibir came to Vasilie's aid their was nothing he could do. This invasion by the Swedes though was being stalled by his armies but not going any where. Vasily could of asked for peace but didn't. Vasily promised to deafte Sweden if it is the last thing he does. The problem is with Pskov under control by Sweden while his armies occupied Kalevala. God had a plan but this plan was apparently not told to either side. Vasily just hoped that once the war is over that it would be the last war for a while.

The damn Swedish can be a real pain as Russia/Muscovy. So the war with Sibir is over? That handy and I'm sure you can have the Swedes on the back foot soon enough. Then they'll be yours to walk all over for the rest of the game.

Sweden is just irritating as Russia, all that winter working both ways. And them usually with a tech advantage too. But fortunately, they run out of men quite easily.

Well, taking your lands from the swedes and then resting and resume colonising wouldn't be bad.

So the Uzbeks helped you out. See if you can find an ally to help fight the Swedes. Failing that presson taking moe oftheir territory until they finally agree to buy you off

stnylan- yea I agree and thanks about the arabic translator didn't have turkish languanges so arabic was the closet I could use for the story.
Leumatiello- I just hope after this war that it will be the last war for a while.
Chief Ragusa- The problem is that anyone around me is a possible enemy for I have faught most of them.

question, after the war with sweden do you think I should edit my land tech a bit to be more advanced due to the wars with more advanced countries?

Just read through the newest chapters. Sorry for dropping behind.

Russia is looking good, but She might need some rest including fullscale BB-reduction. And I don't think you should edit. Off course, if you feel it makes the game more fun to play, go for it.

Just curious, the arabic writing... That was a picture you linked to, no?

I would say no. Russia historically did fight (and win) wars even though they technically lagged behind. When Peter the Great comes around you'll switch into the Latin techgroup and race up through the techs, at least in part due to the huge neighbour bonus you will suddenly get.

Also, Russia has so few challenges on account of the manpower, equal tech might just make things a little boring to play.

Swedish invasion

While Russia was involved in another war with the Sibir, The Swedish decides that now was the time to strike. War came to Russia again from the North. But when the Khan concluded peace with Russia, The armies of Russia could be focused northward toward Sweden. Swedish armies though were more advanced. the armies of Russia were overwhelmed. But one army was able to take the initiative and invaded Sweden. The land was ravaged by war and destruction. Sweden also to the joyous supprise of Vasily, was involved in a war with the Livion order. The lvion order alliance the same exact one that Vasily fought against a few years ago was fighting a common enemy. The city of Pskov was occupied by Swedish soldiers. Novogorod was being besieged by the time of the peace. Revolts were happening in the south of Russia.

The armies of Russia were more concerned with the Swedish then the rebels, for Vasily feared the Swedish more then he feared the rebels. Once Pskov fell, then the siege in Novogorod was relived. this allowed the Russian armies to go then and try and invade Swedish lands. The problem was the livions had already started to take land away from them. the Swedish armies were finally falling. Vasily sought an end to this useless war that he been fighting. The leader of the alliance Brandenburg had came to Vasily and told him that for around 164 ducats he could have an end to this war Vasily wanting an end to this war agreed and excepted the money.

This for the first time in many years gave the Russians peace. Churches were built during this time many beautiful churches were built throughout Russia. The colonial lands of the East also expanded at a tremendous rate. Traders and colonist flocked to the East as a way to start over. It was also when another former tartar land was converted then russianized. The peace helped rebuild Russia which had been ravaged by destruction. The question is show long can this peace hold or will war sound it's drums again?

A few years of peace is exactly what Russia needs. Colonisation is now the order of the day.

I thoroughly agree - at least where the western frontier is concerned. As for the Steppes - now that is another matter. Sibir stands athwart the path of Russian destiny, it is an obstacle that should be removed.

You are really on the verge of greatness now. With your borders, religion and culture spreading soon even the Swedish will be little challenge. Then it will be time to get those cores off of them.

Invasion and destruction

"To have peace, Prepare for war."

Russia should listined to advice like that. for during the 5 years of peace following the swedish war, they weren't preparing for war. They didn't think someone would attack again. They were wrong, big time. The Danes, Lithuains, livions, Naples, Hesse, and even bohemia was allies of the Danes and fought along side of them. This was something that Vasily didn't want to fight in. he hated war. Seen enough for a life time and yet they keep it giving to him. Russia now more ever needs peace. But for peace to occur this war must be won.

At first hopes high, for the last time they were invaded they beat them back but apparently, the Danish alliance was preparing while Russia was trying to enjoy what little peace they had. An initial Russian army was to march and destroy Belograd in Lithuania. The siege didn't take long. After that they went north to try and raise men to deafte the armies in Pskov. but Pskov fell before the armies could be raised. Then The Lithuanian army segied Kursk. At Kursk The Russian again fell like Pskov but quicker. Then they marched on Moscow.

At Moscow they took and sieged the city. The wanted the city. A Russian thought they could go to the capital of the livions to deafte them before Moscow fell. The fires that embraced the city of Moscow was bright like the new morning sun. Vasily was luckily was not in Moscow the day the siege was going on. Vasily was in Novogorod visiting some noble there. Lucky he was their for if the Danes and Lithuania caught Vasily during the siege they could done anything to him.

Pskov was constantly being besieged for offers peace an idea that Russian looked for if only they gave the city to the Livion Order. Lithuania also started to ask for Kursk which and demanded to give military alliance. Dark clouds were above Russia for Moscow, Kursk, and Pskov laid in ruins. Their amies were deafted and beaten. rebels were launching rebellions in 2 provinces which could be spreading to others. only time would tell what the outcome of this war would be but we don't.
