conservative party

Boo! How could you? It will surely lead to the decline of UK. Their policies are disatrous! And don't let yourself fall under the sway of socialism.

And what kind of further reforms can we expect from the Liberal party? And it is a shame that it is only the Liberals who support the EEC. Looks like it will be the social reforms (or lack of, or what kind of) that will let me decide to support Liberals ince more, or the Tories.

So Liberals and Tories, persuade me..

Reason #1

Liberals enforced much of their policies on social liberties, and what they propose now is further devolution and even stronger welfare state. At the same Tories moderated their policies, offer much more sensible economic policies and are the only force which can effectively protect Britain from communists wreaking havoc on the streets and Britain's sphere of influence.

So new social reforms is in terms of enlargening the welfare state and government, and not handing out more power and rights to the individual?

Gotta agree on the economical front, allthough I want free trade with Europe/EEC, but their other foreign policies are wiser. Allthough I think it is much more likely for Liberal party to liberalize society socially.

Guess I need to listen to what other Liberals and 'Destiny' have to say on this issue.

You might as well vote Tory now and in the next elections vote Liberal to moderate if they offer more specified reforms.
((And for now it's seems that Labour is replacing Liberals as the main opposition to Tories. Now, we don't want socialist Britain, do we? What is more, voting Tory is the best choice story-wise, as it will test current Conservative leadership and enforce changes in Liberal Party))

Yes that is a good point. And seems like it have happened a three way split in ideological blocs. The Liberals and Tories might form the borgouis bloc, Labour social democratic and CPGB communist.

But then again, Liberal+Tory might mean that Tory policies is followed, but perhaps more socially progressive? But Liberal party are dogmatically tight government control side of Keynesniasm. So wonder if they would follow up on deregulation, but still they want to cut in taxes.

As I said, Conservative Party victory will mean changes in Liberal Party. Right now Liberals got used to being in power and to Grimond's leadership. Without some major shift in power they will stay in the place they are right now, and that means more welfare state.

Well you want imperialism, nationalism and class dominance. The opposite of the CPGB.
"Communist imperialism, hardliner-stalinism and vanguard party are close enough. Closer than anything else in this fecking menu.
Power above all else, power for it's own sake."

*pause*

"...And honestly "class dominance" has always been more of a substitute for the totalitarian state dominance than anything else, really."

((You could have waited with this until Maggie takes leadership in Conservative Party, I would understand this seeing that you stated that you don't really like her (to put it midly). Powell is dissapoint.
But this symbol is still cool))

((Bah, Tories already betrayed Rhodesians, they have become far to moderate for me now.

And the symbol? Yeah, I spent too much time on it.))

Labour.

Once again I shall vote for Labour. They are a bit aggressive this election, but I suspect we'll be forced to have a coalition government anyhow.

I don't blame us, being bullied as ferociously by the Liberals as we were in the last Parliament.

And so we're taking it out on Spain and Portugal? Also, Rhodesia and South Africa? :p

Yes, the Labour Party always channels its anger into fighting fascists. The Tories use it to fight Communists, the Communists use it to fight Tories, and the Liberals use it to fight themselves. :p
