Stop taking away CPGB votes with your Labour votes. ;)
Don't worry. If Powell becomes more of a realistic politician in the next elections you might get a voter :p

Or maybe you should vote CPGB or maybe your labour voters should call for a electorial pact.

If there had been a Lab-Com pact and by some miracle most of the Labour base wasn't scared away... again... we'd still only be the third largest group in parliament after Conservatives and Liberals, and neither would ever work in coalition or toleration with the communists involved. At this rate the strength of the communists really is guarenteeing that the left never get into government again.

Had there been a Lib-Lab pact however, they'd have had a very comfortable majority with about 394 seats divided between them, so Labour, who got destroyed last time they allied with the commies, should obviously be seeking a pact with the Liberals rather than the CPGB.

Actually, the problem is not the people voting for Communists. The problem is the people voting for Labour. They should make their minds up and either back the Orange Liberals or the Communists and stop splitting the vote of the CPGB and the Liberals :p

Since there is a lot of talk about the Communists isolation, I'll give you a slight hint to the next election. At this stage, everyone else has had a factional struggle, and the CPGB have reached the perfect moment in terms of the internal and international situation to experience a struggle. It's time for Tankies vs Euros - a struggle between slightly exaggerated Anti-Revisionist hardliners and moderates who might lead the party out of Moscow's grip and away from total political isolation.

Then of course We shall vote for the moderate Communists!

I'd be a Rightist, but they believe too much in laissez-faire Capitalism for me to be comfortable with them. They don't have a strong sense of noblesse oblige.

Well they are not for Laissez-faire. They are monetarists and are therefore still pro state intervention.

Well, I am feeling quite chuffed by the outcome. Only 3 votes in favour of my man, and I still back the winner. I should have put a bet on at Ladbrokes.

Although the sight of Rab Butler does leave me in despair. Never in the history of politics has a man made so many wrong choices with such vehement conviction and so little logic.

But out of curiosity, why is it that the One Nationists who are by all means moderates, want to be a part of the Indonesian war, while the Rightists who are imperialistic want to stay out of it?

Actually I have no problem the communist dogmatics. They will just vote for their own party and stay out of voting for i.e labour. If we ban communism, man, then all the communists will make the labour party the strongest, and even radicalize it.

Then of course We shall vote for the moderate Communists!

There's no such thing as moderate extremism :)

Can it be that bad? Afterall your faction is still in control, and the far right movement did not manage to secure an overall majority. If only the yellow liberals would support a moderate conservative policy. But. I have to admit that I am a little sad to see that we can't achieve a freer market. But who knows, maybe abortion will be legalized now? That would surely be something to applaud. First we legalize homosexuality, then abortion. An age of sexual liberalization is nigh!

Because the Indonesian War is regarded as America's not Britain's conflict.

Cas we don't get to annex it.

Aha I see. That make sense. Maybe I am too internationalist to understand the logic of imperials. Are the one nationists able to compromise on abortion? In other words, will they support abortion to reach out a hand to the - yellow - liberals?

((Just saw that if I voted for National Liberals instead, the Liberals would be under 30% and the National Liberals over 11%. Then the government might have been a lot more stable :ninja: ))

No, the problem is the Liberals! Clearly Labour's place in the two party system is Labour's by right, and all the Liberal voters are doing is letting the Tories win by voting Liberal! :p

That's a pretty harsh thing to say about a guy who frankly felt that he wasn't up to the job of Prime Minister - we could actually do with more like him these days. ;)

Well, I'm not all that upset with the election. By Jingo we might save this Empire!

God damn it Tommy, if I have to choose between tankies and eurocoms, I'm gonna pick eurocoms, I want genuine anti-revisionism not tankies.

Then the left can be even more impotent! ;)

Glorious!

Interesting to see that you bash out to the National Liberals being too small and a cult, but you cling unto the Labour party when they fare no better, and you would have much more to say in either the commie block or the orangists..

What are the difference between these two? And may I ask, what are they actually/exactly/specifically/concrete revising and changing?

If I wanted to join the Liberal Party then I would do so. Simple as that.

Yes, but still you lash out on the national liberals since they would be better off with the conservatives. It is just hypocritical :)

Not really. The NatLibs are really just rebel Tories. The Labour Party actually have a very valid purpose in post-war Britain.

Tankies are Brezhnevites, they are the people who think the invasion of Czechoslovakia was just the soviets aiding a socialist govt, think anything that suppresses US imperialism is good, even if it expands Russian and Chinese imperialism, and support wage grading and introducing profit into the socialist economy thereby returning the law of value.

Anti Revisionists are Maoist Crypto-Hoxhaists. They reject the social imperialism of the soviet union and put revolutionary politics in command and not economism like oh, we cant afford to not introduce profit.

Basically revisionism is eather your revising basic core of Marxism, namely Historical Materialism and Dialectical Materialism OR your putting economism in command(although this is kind of a rejection of Dialectical Materialism), ie WE HAVE to introduce profit or WE HAVE to privatize some of the industry to workers coops in Cuba. That is not putting revolutionary politics in command.
