Not that I like defending North Korea, but even they have the right not to get stuff made up about them.

Hush now. Better was the Onion choosing Kim Jong-un as sexiest man alive that the Chinese media quickly accepted as true news. :D

As for the update; good that the leftist government crumbled; bad that Liberals stopped us from actually getting anything really useful done...

Rest in Peace Comrade Stalin. The Iron Leader who fought for the Working Class and fought against the tyranny of Western Capitalism and it's Fascist bed-partners. The Communist Party of Great Britain will do all it can to preserve your legacy and carry the torch of the Workers in your name!

Yea, this is entirely RP here. While I do support Stalin in our timeline I am a bit mad that Tito is gone in this one. RIP Tito and Trotsky, Left-Commies 4 lyfe yo.

Useful like the invasion of North Korea? Yeah, too bad.

RIP Tito and Trotsky, Left-Commies 4 lyfe yo.
Oh, right, Trotsky got his ice-axe-to-the-brain combo already. Heh, what a way to go.

Well well well. With Labour drifting far to the left and divided and extremism on the rise within the National Liberals it seems very clear that there is only one choice to preserve the balance in Britain and maintain the gains of the post-war years - the Liberal Party is the party for the moderate course to temper the extremes of left and right!

Indeed, let all of us unite to sing the song of the Liberal March!

Sorry, but where exactly do you see the extreme right, again? I mean, I'd REALLY like to vote for them, but so far I've seen nothing even closely resembling anything far-rightish.

Excellent update. Looking forward to the installment.

Clearly it is the radical Hayekian wing of the NLP :p

A thousand words won't bring you back, I know because I've tried; neither will a million tears, I know because I've cried.
Even though he's still a Communist you'd love to see dead :p

All political enemies gain an element of fond remembrance once they are safely dead and buried.

Also, he was an especially magnificent bastard, so there's that. A schemer and a weaver and brilliant at both. I guess he just wasn't brilliant enough this one last time.
It's just sad to see us, oldschool opportunistic chessmasters, go, one by one.

Ironically without his capitalist enemies the USSR would have been lost tomthe Fascists :) Just look at all the money and military equicment USA practically gave away to USSR after the German invasion. And then the brave British sailors securing the ship lines into the USSR.

And our young brave soldiers have once more given their lives for freedom. Let us all mourn and value their sacrifices in Korea. They fought and died for a better world, if just we could follow their example it would be no more war. I find it insulting against these brave men that we mourn the dictator Stalin. Without himmthese young men would still be alive and would still enjoy the pleasure of life. But they gave their lives so we can sit here and mourn Stalin, and so that the Korean people can be free. I think we should honor their sacrifices and let us never forget what they sacrificed both in the second world war and now.

Perhaps the one thing we can agree on. :p
((Hehe, I saw it, even if noone else did :D, you were quick on that edit, though))

But, yeah, The Great Old Iron Moustache is dead, it's time for The Less-Great Ukrainian Farmer to take over.
((Or maybe in this alternate timeline there's someone else? It wasn't written in the update, was it?
EDIT: Noup, it wasn't. I'll just assume it's CORN TIME then!))

Historically there was basically a collective leadership from 1953-56 as various figures struggled to come out on top. Not sure how this is modelled in NWO2 so I'm going to assume that the final decision isn't made until '56. So it may or may not be Corn Time soon :p.

((That's even better, I love these ahistorical little (or big, I guess, in this case) things. It would be terribly interesting if Beria, Malenkov or someone else(Molotov? What would he be like? Continuation of stalinism, I guess) reigned supreme and not the Ukrainian Corn Farmer. The Abhazian Himmler would probably be the worst case scenario for us.))

Ah, a glorious update. Although the situation in China is dreadful, our swift victory in Korea demonstrates just how important it is that the conservatives remain in power! Could you imagine how a communist Korea would have turned out? Furthermore we need to maintain control of our empire in the middle east, that oil is vital for our industrial and military might! Restore the Egyptian monarchy!

Finally, rest in peace Mr. Churchill.

((It depends on who. For the human race, possibly given the potential for nuclear war, but if not, then for the West it would have been a blessing, given the possibility of collapsing the USSR. Or a curse if you take into account the balancing role the USSR played versus the US)) The Liberals must come back to Labour, we can work together!

RIP to the most honorable British man of the 20th Century, Winston Churchill. May God Watch Over Your Soul.

I'm glad the Conservatives are in government, fighting unions and cutting back on the socialist welfare state. For the free market! For Britain!
