The EEC is a good idea because it represents freedom of movement and trade throughout a dozen economies which as the ThaHoward or I suppose even enewald will tell you is worth more than keeping rather useless and harmful tariffs that preserve the ego of those who think national sovereignty is worth anything by itself! Done correctly greater commerce is a better guarantee of peace and stability than any attempts to maintain cultural hegemony or building more prisons or more nuclear weapons.

To wish for a better Britain, a better Europe and a better world, we need to come together in the language we all speak which as the tories often remind us is money.

I agree with this. For EEC for free trade :D

((And FIY UK isn't part of Schengen. So if they went out of EU it wouldn't affect their immigration. They are not part of the free movement zone in EU. And it haven't been even made yet in this AAR, so using the free immigration/movement as an argument against UK membership in EU IRL and EEC in this AAR is pretty weird, as UK can have their own imigration policies independent of EU.))

OK, so I guess you will be happy when USA will be just another province of China/part of Mexico. Really now, there is nothing wrong with immigration, but uncontrolled immigration may be a dangerous thing, especially in countries with relatively low birthrate ratio, as it may cause eradication of nation. Just look what happened with ancient Egypt. And EU also does whatever Washington says, so...
Also, not all nations. We Poles not. :D

If the untied states became a part of canada or mexico I would be fine with it as longs as people are better off frankly. Immigration shouldn't be limitless but it shouldn't be ignored out of hand. The "eradication of a nation" as you call it is rather meaningless, national cultures change constantly and always have so what makes us so special that we can stay static?

Kek, that's pretty funny. Too bad she took insults personally. The whole argument started over a jab at Enwald. Oh well, nothing lost. I doubt I'll ever meet her, care for her or connect with anyone in Norway. Caring for strangers or about strangers. Heh.

Well I'm very glad because sweary, obnoxious behaviour, including homphobic insults, is my number one way of spotting people who aren't worth bothering with :)

P.S. The UK is predicted to overtake Germany as the largest economy in Europe by 2050. Why? Because the UK has an increasing population and better demographics thanks to immigration compared to the rapidly ageing and declining German population.
It wouldn't be the Englismen who live there by this point, it would be Indians and every other piece of rabble.

We have an ignore list? Cool.

That said Enewald, intelligence dries up when you visit. There are 0 actual debates that are inane enough for you to be interested in.

Meh, it's ok. That said ThaHoward insisted everything I said was a personal insult to her. So I obliged to what her perceptions obviously desired. Besides this AAR won't get closed, the worse that will happen will that I get banned from this AAR at best and the PI forums at worst. Don't worry yourself, the Westminister system will continue without me, not that any frigid individuals will care.
I didn't even know we had an ignore list. The more you know~ On a more serious note, since they'll be surging once the Yellows win, Labour!

"as it may cause eradication of nation"

Well the USA is very used to the eradication of entire nations. Though since by 2100 it's still likely to be the second largest economy in the world I doubt it's going to be annexed by Mexico or China (just like it wasn't annexed by Japan in the 80s despite the hysteria by the far right at the time). It's funny how all the white immigrants to America are perfectly fine but how darker current immigrants mean the end of western civilisation.

And yeah, the poles have never been colonised by immigrants (like the Germans, or the Austrians, or the Bohemians, or the Russians, or the Swedes or anything like that) or colonised anywhere else for that matter (like Ukraine, Lithuania, Silesia, Prussia, or Belarus or anywhere like that).

I'm not really a socialist :eek:o, and to be fair if Mexico was so dominant that the american language and culture were disappearing I would probably not be so blase about eradication. :eek:o. I learned that the EU has a dubious record on democracy and am more skeptical, so you know real politics in action. ;)

Hey it's not pointless I Bothered to learn about the EU and you aren't being a crumugeon

I just like the idea that nations are something special when you consider that each of them are entirely artificial cultures constructed by the ruling elites of the time for economic and military reasons rather than any genuine cohesiveness. In fact, the economic and geopolitical pressures which caused the creation of nation states are identical to the economic and geopolitical pressures which are currently driving the creation of supra-national states such as the EU.

Try to abolish cultures and so on then. You will then see major social unrest. This is once more where theoretical behind the desk policies meet the real world. It may be cultural, but it is still real.
