Too bad Labour Party's view on the Unions and view on nationalized industry vs. privatized is not in line with Social Market economy. As it is about better union control, laws, fewer unions, more worker partcipation, deregulated and a free market etc.
Believe me, Labour do not support a Social Market Economy![]()
Come join your real home in the Liberal party Tanzhang - we've got a Whig Wig waiting for you
One Antonine, One Manifesto, One Destiny!
Those are all policy stances that plenty of people in the Labour Movement, including our leader Denis Healey, would support. Healey hasn't had much time in the job and therefore is yet to put forth his own views on policy, but I believe that Social Market policies, measures to increase workplace democracy (and cooperatives and whatnot) and yes even IPOS-style union controls - which are not in any way vociferously anti-union, unlike certain other parties' policies - are all part of the progressive social democratic future which Labour will embrace in its coming years in government.![]()
I certainly hope that Labur will embrace policy of popularizing awesome eyebrows among people of Britain.
What about me and van5?![]()

Even if that is the case, it's terribly disingenuous to claim that Labour has 'had their fun' and has been 'in the government', when they've only been in power (using the term loosely to include their latest stint) twice - once under Attlee in 1945, and once in 1964 with Grimond, where, again, Grimond dictated policies and then broke his pact with Labour and booted them from the government. And its these misleading statements (slanderous to a party your own is closer to than the Tories according to the statements in the manifestos, I might add), that make me less-than-willing to accept what you say, despite much of it seeming sound and reasonable. The facts simply contradict too much. And the Labour, Liberals and One Nationists economic policies have been almost identical.
Once more, the Communists are one step ahead.![]()
Van's an Orangist who voted Labour - he hardly counts.![]()
Next electionAnd maybe the Communists in Labour Party will mean a migration of modereate labourites to. Liberal Party once more more. I hope you join the Yellow-Orange wave too.

So, random male Liberal politician is better than Maggie? You are paternalist indeed.

I'm not just going to roll over and die and let Lenin Cat take over the party! No, I'm going to fight... with passion and conviction. If van wants to be a sniveling little coward then good riddance.
If the DDP were taken over by social liberal entryists, would you evacuate at the first signs of trouble or would you stay in the party and try to fight them off?
Statistically, any random person will probably be a better choice than the Milk Snatcher.
What is this DDP? Are you talking about DDR/GDR?
Why are you so upset over a little milk? Don't you want the money to be better spent? Like being used on better education quality or new updated texbooks?
Healey: Better Eyebrows than Brezhnev.
