You see, the problem is that Labour confuses our pressing need to quit India with abandoning the entire Empire when we still can do something about it, while the Tories and National Liberals insist that there's no problem in India and bury their heads in the proverbial sand. If, on the other hand, you want imperial and economic policies that actually make sense, you could vote Liberal, as I see a string of honorable gentlemen have been doing of late.

Interestingly, the Westminster System has proved a cruel mistress for the Left. Despite the last two votes falling to the Left (one to the Liberals, one to Labour) their effect on the final outcome has been to place the Right into a narrow lead. This is because the Communist vote has fallen to 14.8% - leaving them below the 15% threshold. As ever, the final result of this election is extremely unclear.
