The National Liberals will give you freedom to make your own choices!*

* Provided you make the 'right' choice.

That is in the end how every party is.

How have they been fooled? They are making a rational choice. Oh I see, you wish to prevent people from making rational choices that you deem are harmful, like how socialists want to artificially distort the market because they think poverty and unemployment are harmful. You are just another socialist, Enewald. Stop interfering with people's freedums. :p

The problem is not the rational voters, rather those who use cheating to cling to power, or other unlawful methods, such as indirect bribing.
Poverty has always existed and will always exist; meanwhile unemployment is merely a symptom of minimum wages and people overvaluing their own productivity.

Surely if people are as rational as you claim them to be then they would see through such a gimmick, realising the long term economic problems it would cause and vote accordingly :p

Some do see the problems, too many do not. Some people plan long ahead, others not at all.
Liberalism is about providing maximum array of varying choices, not having government tell you the choices and encouraging you at the gunpoint to keep choosing wisely. ;)

Oh, I see. The people have been bribed by the Communists to vote for them. Bribed by promises of lower wages and less freedums; it all makes sense now.

Clearly the National Liberals have bribed Enewald with their socialist policies too.

And tyranny is all about banning political parties you don't agree with. Stop being so tyrannical Enewald.

The certainly wouldn't be making "left" choices. :p

Also, we need more liberal voters please.

Nah, we've had enough of those already. We need more Labour votes!

That we do. Fewer communists and more Gaitskellites.

A few more Grimondites wouldn't hurt, though.

More votes! I'll release another official poll after we pass 40 votes.

I do not understand why people are not making rational choices. Somebody must be indirectly bribing them; it is the only possible explanation.

Bribes that affect choice making cause the action not to be less rational.
Lets say someone tells you that if you fetch him beer from a grocery, he will give you 10 cash. If you really want that cash, the bribe is efficient and makes you go out and get that beer.
If however you value doing something else more than spending time fetching beer for 10 cash, you will refuse the task. The bribe was not big enough to change your preferences.

Those people who are promised more by the communists or by socialists have a good rationale behind voting those parties. Meanwhile those that would end up getting taxed more, or sent to a gulag as a enemy of the proletariat, have also rather good rationales against voting communists or socialists. :p

As for why we are not getting more votes, we are on page 279 in a huge thread with most common AARlanders being too scared or exhausted to join the AAR. :D

Liberal (Yellow). For liberty, freedom, free trade and social justice.

A fine choice. Though I never thought I'd see the day when you and I were in the same party! :)

Why are you indirectly bribing these voters with your tyrannical socialism, Enewald? (or should I say... Redewald? :p)

I don't get it. Whom am I bribing? I promise no benefits to anyone, or no legal protection to any 'special interest groups'. Everyone suffers equally and stands to gain equally. No special regulations that benefit someone over someone else.

Voting is a rational choice; therefore not voting is irrational.
All humans are rational, therefore are incapable of making irrational choices.
Acting in one's self-interest is rational, therefore socialism is irrational as socialism is by definition in noone's self-interest.
If a socialist were to indirectly bribe somebody to vote socialist, then that person would be making a rational choice as accepting a bribe is in one's self-interest, therefore rational.
So, in order to force someone into an irrational decision (not voting) that person would have to be indirectly bribed in order to do so, thereby rationalising that person's decision.
We already know that Enewald is a socialist, because he supports intervening against freedom and personal choice, as evidenced by his desire to ban the communist party.
We already know that socialists have to indirectly bribe people, because Enewald himself confessed to this.
People are being indirectly bribed to not vote, because not voting is irrational and people cannot make irrational choices without that choice being rationalised by self-interest, it is the only possible conclusion. Socialists often indirectly bribe people, and Enewald is a socialist.

Therefore, Enewald is indirectly bribing people to abstain from voting - it is literally the one true conclusion and all other conclusions are false because they are irrational, and therefore socialist.

Your the best around... my friend.
