Would someone be so kind as to explain this "bearded vegetarian" stuff to me?

Also, if any Liberals want to persuade me as to which faction to vote for, I'm all ears.

Vote for the Yellow one. They are the most stable one, with the best policies. The Social Democrats will just turn it into New Labour Party and is a tad too radical and naiive.

The yellow liberals on the other hand have just and well thouhgt out and good policies. So basically if you want progressive policies and the party to remain liberal vote the Yellow Faction. If you want all too radical, poorly planned and naiive policies, and want to turn it into a socialist party vote for the orange faction.

And what is all the talk about bearded vegetarians?

There have been suggestions that the "traditional", Grimondite Liberals are pacifist, bearded vegetarian types who wear CND badges and wear clothes made out of hemp.

This is obviously not true, as we are merely the faction within the party concerned with not merging with Labour – which would not be good for the left wing, I'm sure you can agree. I for the record am clean-shaven and enjoy an omnivorous lifestyle. :p

My beard keeps growing even after I shave it and I'm a vegetarian, can I apply? :p

Also vote for NLP! Time to bash commies!

I don't like the social policies of the NLP. They are reactionaries who want to have a free market. Plus their transition into a free market is too rapid and will result in various shocks.

I am clean shaven, does that make me communist?

Well I agree with their economical ends, but not their means. Also their social policies are horrible. They are limiting organzational, political freedom and freedom of speech. Furhtermore cracking down on these things are a contradiction to the free market.

I think we may find ourselves agreeing on things yet, My Right Honourable Friend.

Incidentally, have you voted?

I am valuing the Yellow faction up the One Nation one. Perhaps the rightist or National Liberals if my vote will be worthless. That is to just make free-markeetering not fall into the oblivion even if I disagree with their social platform. And wildly disagree with the rightists.

I think you know which of the above options I'd urge you to take. ;)

Maybe I can create a Classical Liberal faction or Whig faction.. Hm.

((No I do not claim that I will make that, that it is real nor that it should be on the elections.))

The classical liberals are the NLP. ;)

We do not support the government dictating the citizens what is right or wrong, we rely on the free individual to bring forth the greatest economic prosperity.
Cartels, monopolies, monopsonies and barriers of trade must be brought down. Sure you as someone who has received some education about economic matters understands that all the aforementioned mechanisms distort the market away from equilibrium, decrease the efficiency of the society as a whole.
Unions are monopsonies, they are equally as bad for the consumers as are monopolies.

VOTE FOR NLP, FOR A MORE FREE BRITAIN

How are supporting a party that restrict freedom of speech, political freedom and organizational freedom Classical Liberal?

They are liberal conservatives.

And yes, classical liberals don't want a government that dictates what is right and wrong. That is exactly what the National Liberal party do. The Liberal party are the only one who have for example liberalized society. Unfortunately they have natinalized much of the industries, but it is not really that much when you think of it. And they support low taxes and no further regulations and nationalization.

Well you aint classical liberal for starters ;)

The essence of Whiggism doesn't lie solely in classical liberalism, My Right Honourable Friend, not by a long way! It lies in a reformist spirit, a desire to expand social and political liberties and a loyalty to the United Kingdom and the Crown.

If one can throw in a dandyish, Romantic fashion sense then all's the better. :p

NO to the proportional representation

((Here's you daily dose of Napoleonic Caesaropope. Also, I love how his paper hat looks like a sombrero this time around:)))

My favourite thing about the Caesaropope is how he seems to assume a manner of perpetual confusion. :D

Your average British Liberal Party activist post-late 1960's is a sandal-wearing, bearded vegetarian who traditionally wears shabby clothes, a CND badge and has literally no concept of the real world outside of whatever locale he happens to live in, which, to be fair, he understands almost intimately.

Sound like most "radical communists" and "radicals" in general :p
