and in Britain the aristocracy own most of the land, without being 'best' or better than the rest. One of the most feudal societies left on earth, where most of the descendants of the robber barons that ravaged the land alongside the Normans still own most of the land and estates in England. Technically not anyone can join the nobility, nor do they appoint anyone to the House of Lords, nor do they knight anyone, nor will anyone end up with square miles of property.
