Nonsense and piffle. Orkney and Shetland were offered to Scotland as surety against the payment of the dowry of a Norwegian princess. Since the dowry was never paid the islands remain part of Scotland in perpetuity.

May I also state how encouraging it is to see the support which the Liberal party provides to local communities in Rutland - for example, even the Rutland Liberal Club and its staff have been donated to the public for holding the counting of votes in this election

We don't really do communism in the UK, but you could pretty much choose anywhere industrialised north of Derby and find some socialist tendencies.
The Liberals actually do pretty well in the wealthier parts of Liverpool.

Edit: Damn most of Liverpool have areas with 60-70% for labor or more. But Norris Green. 89.24% for Labour Party. I am representing Norris Green, what can go wrong?
