Is the weather is hardcoded?

I'm interested in the weather near equator. Is there a season of storms? When? Is there some regularities in the weather?

Yes weather is hardcoded. It will rain more near the equator although I don't think anyone has tested it so it will be hard to find out. Also storms seem to be a bit more random than anything

Generally, you can expect bad weather in the winter, and better winter in the summer. I had a particularly trying time when my offensive through India took too long, and I ended up fighting a determined Brit resistance in Burma in the monsoon. NOT fun.
