The War For The Throne (AGOT MOD)

Note: Used the AGOT MOD
This playthrough was started in the 'Dorne Invasion campaign' (or whatever it was called). There are no spoilers for the book series nor for the TV-series.
At first this playthrough wasn't meant for AAR at first. So some characters have uncommon names. (One is named after George R.R. Martin :/ ) But how it all ended out becoming, I thought it was worthy of sharing.

xvYu3c4.jpg

The king has died, his heir, Mortimer the laughing dragon, has taken his seat on the throne.
However, Mortimer would not rule for long.
His brother, Foxer, lord of Dragonstone, knows the throne is his, and he WILL get it.

The main characters:

Foxer:

Foxer is the most competent swordsman in entire Westeros, and probably Essos too! Having joined 'the Maiden's men', a group of mercenaries, he perfected his already perfect martial skill. He wields the Valyrian steel sword named 'Anger'. Wich was given to him by his father, King Daeron 'The Young Dragon'.
Daeron was maimed, and sick, everyone knew he was getting close to death. Mortimer, Foxer's brother, was the heir and the lords aimed their focus on him.
They saw an aging man, with a weak woman at his side, all his children were mad. Foxer understood that people weren't too pleased with their new king.
This was the beginning, he would gain the throne, Mortimer has always despised Foxer, and the feeling was mutual. The throne will be Foxers!
As he recieved Dragonstone, he married a lannister, recieving an alliance with them. He did this not for love, but for the lust for the throne.

Mortimer:

Mortimer, the new king of the Irone Throne, has been looking forward to the throne his whole life. But when he finally recieved it, he didn't enjoy it, he loved the power, he loved the title, But the rest, he hated. He was tired of listening to every peasants complaints and life, he enjoyed watching his father deal justice, he often sent his maester in his place, this the peasants did not approve of.
He would never give away the throne however, the throne was his, and when he died, his son would get it, and his son after him.
He was the rightful heir, and by the gods, he would rule it for the rest of his life.

Poh:

Poh, the bastard son of King Daeron, at the age of 15 he joined the kingsguard, many years later, he is still serving. He grew up with Foxer, and is an old friend, but due to the war being prepared, he might have to slay his friend.

George R.R. Martin:

The third trueborn son of King Daeron. Not living up to his expectations, being nowhere close to Foxers martial excellence, nor Mortimers Diplomatic skills. His father didn't really care what happened to him, so he gifted him with a castle, so that history would grant him a small page in its book.
(Since he is named after Martin, I will try not to kill him ;_; )

Jaekardo:

His father, Daeron, thought of Jaekardo as a failure, he was bad at everything, mad, and a horrible fighter. Everything his father wanted from his children, was not present in Jaekardo, even George had more skills than Jaekardo. Jaekardo is probably not going to have too much to say in the upcoming war, but who knows what the mad prince will do?

(More characters will be introduced as the story unfolds, his sisters are not mentioned, as they all have bad claims and no spesific skills, I left them out :/ )

War is coming.
Foxer will plot and fight his way to get his throne, whatever the cost!

Chapter 1: Pots of plots

2xYWWnY.jpg

It was time, the faction was official.

"You asked for me, your grace?" Drifton said as he entered the room, he was the lord of Driftmark, and the Master-at-Arms of Dragonstone.

"I have told the public of my faction." Foxer said, scratching his beard.

"I wish you all the luck in the world, your grace. What would you have me do?"

"Train the men, get them ready. Fishermen, farmers, cooks, it matters not, I need men." Foxer commanded.

"As you command, the army of Dragonstone will stand and wait until you give the word." Drifton answered, giving Foxer a smile.

This was risky, not even Aegon had to fight against seven kingdoms at once.
Hopefully his alliance with the Lannisters would pay off.

WV3V3w4.jpg

"Curse his name!" Foxer barked as he recieved the letter.
King he may be, but not for long.

Foxer was out fishing with his friend Perkin Greatborn, when he recieved word that his wife was giving birth, he got onto his horse, riding as fast as he could, but he arrived too late. She had already given birth, two small twins.

As good as it was too see his wife give him more children, he couldn't help but feel a little bit disappointed, he was hoping for a son.

YCfHkuW.jpg

A raven arrived at Dragonstone, Mortimer wanted Foxer to come and be his Master-at-Arms.
Foxer refused, no doubt Mortimer knew about his faction, he would likely be walking into his own prison cell.

Few days later, another raven arrived, this time, the content was as strange as it was unexpected.
tRiek3u.jpg

Foxer didn't know how to respond, he approved. He was speechless as he wrote down his answer
What was his brother thinking?

CFtCtxm.jpg

Foxer refused to attend, Mortimer was no king, and he doubted he would recieve a warm welcome if he attended.

um1YARY.jpg

It was official, he was now the King.
But if all of Foxers work...well... worked, he wouldn't be for long.

Foxer had to do something major, and do it fast, and he knew just what that was going to be.

It worked!
Now the entire kingdom thinks he's a bastard.
mP1RSqm.jpg

There is only one thing left now. War.

The faction is going nowhere, no one is joining, he must show the kingdom he is serious.
The time for plotting is over, now steel and bravery will gain Foxer his throne.
fqkIaEg.jpg

Those were the longest five days in Foxer's life.
But then a raven arrived, his council was standing at his side, his wife, daughters, even his friend Perkin.
All scared of what the raven would tell.

Then war it is, indeed!

Chapter 2: Blood and Steel

This was it. The kingdom of the Iron Throne was at war.
The army of Dragonstone was forming up, the Master-at-Arms had trained a good amount of men, let's just hope theres quality, instead of just quantity.
The army was marching to war, being lead by Foxer, together with the Master-at-Arms and Perkin Greatborn.

The next day, a group of ravens arrived, Foxer wasn't going to fight this war alone.
37GJ3Q3.jpg

The Lady Paramount of the Riverlands was joining, that in itself made Foxer smile.
But there was more. . .

There was only one raven left, it was from the westerlands.
Foxer read the letter, and the content made Foxer snap the ravens neck.
Tlbmx18.jpg

He had chosen to fight for Mortimer, Foxer needed the Lannister's to help him in order to win this war... He had to take King's Landing, fast. It was the only option.

His Maester came running into the room, he seemed to ignore the dead raven.

"My grace, I bring good news!" He said with a confident smile.

kNrGIUq.jpg

King Mortimer beware, indeed. The army was growing large, bigger than he had expected.
The army was standing in the docks, there weren't enough ships for them all, they would have to send parts of the army, instead of the entire army at once
Foxer looked at his army, with pride.
They would be the men that got him onto the Iron Throne.
Then his Maester came running.

"My grace, I bring horrible news!" He said with a scared look on his face.
etuDQqB.jpg

A SLAVE RAID!? NOW!?
Filled with rage, Foxer led his army onto the ships.
He decided to ignore the slave raid.

"First I will get my throne. Then, and only then, will I go and cut of the manhood of every slaver foolish enough to come to Dragonstone!"
Foxer roared to his council. His Master-at-Arms approved, but the others seemed to panic, knowing they would be left behind in Dragonstone.

A small group of Crown loyalists arrived to siege Dragonstone, they were quickly dealt with.
Most of Foxer's army had reached the shore, but luckily some soldiers had been left behind due to the shortage of ships.
The first battle had been won... The first...
QGivixa.jpg

As of now this is how the kingdom looks:

The Iron Islands, Dorne, the Vale, the Stormlands and The North are neutral.
However the Reach and the Westerlands are fighting with Mortimer.
The Riverlands and some smaller lords have joined Foxer.
RIKYLjg.jpg

This was the army that was going to take the throne...
hiX5cw7.jpg

They were many, they were good, but most of them peasants, fishermen at best. Only 5000+ (Or less) were true soldiers.

Mortimer had taken command of the main army.
9owqygy.jpg

With his son and heir, Kohle, the mad prince accompanying him.
Like all of Mortimers children, he didn't have white hair, he was "wrong". He didn't look like a Targaryan, he didn't act like one. He was mad, a lunatic.
It is said he laughed and clapped his hands when he found out there was going to be a war.
YbqV4hs.jpg

It seemed all of Mortimers children were mad. Poor man.

His brother, Rupert, also wrong, as Foxer called the sons and daughters of Mortimer.
It seemed he has taken side with Foxer!
He has joined the Lord of The Whisperes, who is helping Foxer.
Wonder what the lunatic was thinking.
Nj78ALR.jpg

The uncle, Baelor, old and widowed, no sons or daughters. What a life.
He has taken side with Mortimer.
wMuZMUL.jpg

Foxers oldest daughter, Rhae was now old enough for education, she will be groomed for command.
OedLgTp.jpg

Meanwhile, as the army of Dragonstone was marching for King's Landing, a large battle had broken out, seems like the Riverlands had reached King's Landing before Foxer.
Mortimer, however, had been waiting for them.
n14GMRy.jpg

Foxer had to hurry, he had to reach King's Landing and help his allies, or he would lose the war.
His best ally was the Riverlands, he needed them to win.
But then, a courier arrived, with a note.
ZIiCqSi.jpg

The Vale had joined him, Oh joy!
Things were looking up, morale was high.

The army of Dragonstone was getting close, thankfully, the battle at King's Landing was still raging on.
Soon, the army would fight, win or lose. Win or die.
Dn3hcWt.jpg

A few days before they arrived at the battle, another courier arrived.
NPYsKoc.jpg

It seemed the Lannister's were with him, thank the gods.
There was no time for celebration however, they had arrived in the battle.
