Late July 1970

Late July 1970

Because of the war with NATO, the Soviets had been unable to eliminate all the revolting military units in Germany and Czechoslovakia. Earlier this year, the revolt began spreading eastward into the inner ring of satellites. Even Rumania, the strongest supporter of Moscow's policies, experienced unrest this month.

When sabotage increased the Soviet supply problems, three Soviet forces became ineffective: the armies in Finland and Bulgaria and the fleet in Constantinople.

Greece, Norway, Sweden, and Yugoslavia were invited to join the European Union after they were liberated from Soviet control.

Early August 1970

The European Union (EU) liberated Finland from Soviet control without a battle. (Johann is free!)

The battles of Thirteenth Kiel, First Berlin, and Second Galicia ended in draws.

The EU liberated part of Turkey from Soviet control without a fight. The EU won the battle of First Bulgaria and occupied the country.

Mid-August 1970

The European Union (EU) invaded the Soviet Union, capturing Leningrad and Murmansk.

The battles of Fourteenth Kiel, Second Berlin, Third Galicia, and Second Bulgaria ended in draws.

The EU continued to liberate Turkey and freed Syria from Soviet control.

Late August 1970

Due to shrinking resources, the Soviet Union fleets in Berlin and the Black Sea and armies in Sevastopol and Silesia lost their combat effectiveness.

Soon the soviets will be crushed... :D

Early September 1970

The Democratic German Republic (East Germany) was finally liberated by the European Union (EU) in the battle of Third Berlin after 17 months of revolt/war. The EU also prepared to destroy the Soviet Baltic Sea fleet.

Soviet forces unsuccessfully attacked the EU in the battles of First Leningrad and Fourth Galicia.

A Soviet fleet lost both the battles of Third Bulgaria and First Rumania as it was forced to retreat to the Black Sea.

The EU occupied the last major cities of Turkey and started dismantling Soviet controls on the population.

Mid-September 1970

The last Soviet fleets were destroyed in the battles of the Baltic and Black Seas. In their only successful advance, the Soviets moved into undefended Silesia. All their attacks on occupied provinces were beaten off by the European Union defenders in the battles of Second Leningrad, Fourth Berlin, and Fourth Bulgaria.

The citizens of Kiel were relieved Soviet attacks on their city were no longer possible. After 14 major attacks on the city, it badly needed rebuilding.
