High mountains, lots of water, tunnels, temples, trains, zeppelins and walls. Lots of walls.
Well.. it is a walled city.
Anyways, the style of the city is.. dictatorial. No sane goverment would otherwise approve
of building walls upon walls upon walls as you will see in upcoming pics.

Had to put my Hellsinki project on hold, distances were getting too long etc. and to be honest I
started to get a little bored with the "flatlands" so I decided to build something else. This build
will most likely even be finished due to limited building areas. This time we're not going for size
but for a certain style.

A few pics of areas that are still very much wip.

Barlow, the first island and district you see when you enter the city.
nf3K8zW.png

Carstein, the second island/district. The schLoss Casino in the background. To the left you can see two blue light pilars sticking out. They belong to the
Temple of Light & Windmills, but more of that later on.

The Temple of Light and Windmills.
A few night time pics and a daytime one.

The temple of Light and Windmills is a popular tourist attraction.
The young ones usually go to the restaurant with the three red
lights for engagement parties etc..
The restaurant is called the Leap of Faith.

To the right of the Temple is the mausoleum of the leader. The mausoleum also works
as a crypt. Being the place of the dead.. and the leader, it doesn't have light pillars.

The schLoss Casino embedded in Bramstoke mountain is another popular tourist attraction. The only way to enter is via the tunnel. Lose enough and they might let you leave.. ;)

More pics from the project. Lots of walls and cathedrals.
Very much a wip.

The tower to the right works also as a lighthouse. There are several of them on the islands forming a chain.

Okay, got some more pics from an area called Church Hill (for obvious reasons).
I have to do a church/cathedral/basilisk count at some point..

The zeppelin has become a popular way of travel, must be the view of the island that you get..

There's a small marina down by the waterlevel. Even tho there's a ferry station there's no ferry traffic in the city,
atleast not yet. I did try out placing a cruise ship harbour close to it but it was plagued with various issues
so it was demolished. There will be a cruise ship harbour at some point but.. we'll see.

I'm already looking/preparing expansion to the west side of the island. The highway will be moved, the layout for it atm is, and has always been temporary.
Oh, and the map I'm using is Santorini, Greece. There's been some modification and the water level has been
lifted up quite much.

Impressive.
I love it.
It's like a modern-day Grecian City-State.

Thanks! (I think I've mentioned that the map is Santorini, Greece :) )

At the moment there are 7 major districs. All of them work independently, all of them have their own hospitals, fire departments, police etc.
(thanks to the district limiter mod). The budget is.. well, it's pretty much in the red. If there were tools to fiddle with the patient capacity in
hospitals and so on I could balance the budget a bit better.. but since I don't have to worry about money it's not a biggie.

There's now a passenger harbour on the island. Had some issues with it at first. When I finally got passenger ships arriving there were
way too many of them. But I sorted that problem out, I raised the passenger limit of the ships to 500 passengers and now I get less
ships arriving. There will be pics of the harbours at some point but first I need to sort out the layout of the harbours and also I need
to change the passenger ships and the cargo ships to something older/else than the ones that the game provides. Something more
in line with the look of the city.. There's still much work to do, very wip atm.. (The highway to the left is temporary. It will be moved
later on when the city expands. I might have to conjure up another island so the highway would have a more natural exit from the city)

Feel free to comment. Thanks for watching/reading..
