Wha? Oh yes, I am still here. And no, nothing I have started is abandoned, just getting them done one at a time. If only everyone else would stop being so good at writing AAR's I could get down to mine!

Ive been reading, and eagerly anticipating a lovely update from Seidita's Kingdom of America AAR. A great challenge, I wonder how regal Grant will be...

J.A. MacDonald, a new comer to our lovely land, has also started a US story, this one however is about, lets see, ah yes, protecting other nations from Imperialism, a great challenge mind you. I finally get to see the Monroe Doctrine in action yes?

Rudolf Brett has also kick started a fine tale of expansion, out of Rome of all places. Ive never seen such a violent Papacy, or atleast not one so modern. I great read, both of story and of military history.

And lastly, I look back in the ole EU forum. Languish has picked up his France AAR. Anyone who is a fan of the old classic AAR's be sure to read this one, its the Languish style we've all come to know and love. And I will never figure out those screenshots, just cant do them.

“Hi coz, been a long time now I know but I have been extremely busy with CK coming out and a lot to do at work”. Upon hearing some recommendations of a certain AAR Judge immediately buys beer for coz and Amric. “I still have some time over for reading AARs though and Amric “Knights of Balance” is a fine story. However dear bartender I haven’t seen any update from you for a while. Wonder what Erika would think of that, what-what?”

One for each of you for recommending AARs, and one for myself, eh, what-what? As for my own updating, I've just been terribly busy. I really must get to it soon for I fear CK will take me away for even more time. Though I need to get the game first and wait patiently looking at the mail daily. Ah well, how's about another, old chaps?

“Sure coz, that’s great, no don’t stop fill the glass to the top please, so haven’t got CK yet, well I have and have already devoted far too much time on the game. Not much time for EU 2 and Vic anymore though CK still is a bit too buggy and unbalanced to make me want to start an AAR. I guess that will have to wait one or two patches. Still the game concept is awesome and addictive, cheers-cheers"

erm... oh yes, Ive got another one. Aldoushux's AAR is a wonderfull parody of Victoria! Ive got to say, for his first AAR it is very well done, you all should stop buy and read it. Definently makes looking at one's income and then at the costs of shipping from overseas a lot better...

Blast! Estonianzulu, you are spot on, sir, both in your recommendation and your feelings on the slowness of the postal service. Here's a drink. I ordered my copy back in March and still no luck. I suppose I am not meant to crusade, at least not yet. But when I receive my game you can bet the heathens will feel my steel!

coz1 enters the Tea Room, cleaning the printer's ink off of his hands. As he places the rag on the counter, he announces to the room

Well, it is that time again, what-what. Yes, Sunday means the GenAARal's Picks. For the newer story, I have decided on Amric's The Immortal Knights of Balance!. He is crafting a very interesting story and game as he travels from country to country attempting to prop up powers that need a bit of help as he knocks off the larger powers surrounding them. You might call it an anti-blob campaign.

For the older and much, much longer tale, I have gone with a classic that may finally see it's resolution. Bismarck crafted a very fine tale with Cyprus some time ago and has announced recently that it will find it's last chapter. Be a sport and read through his Cyprus - The Last Crusade. I assure you, it will not disappoint.

Morpheus crawls out of his tunnel in the corner. Walking up to the bar, he bangs on the counter with a shoe and calls out,

"I'd just like to announce to everybody that the Reader Request AAR is back alive, restylized and everything. So go read it!"

Perhaps we should erect a suitable doorway for you, sir. Seems a rather dirty business having to tunnel from place to place. Great to see you return, what-what? I must make a point to peruse what Bavaria is up to these days.

And as Amric has questioned in the bAAR, I am curious to see how many have made use of the AARland Gazette. Please take a copy found right here on the counter and let us know your thoughts in the feedback thread on what you have read. And if you have something that might make a good AARticle, pitch it to us as we are always on the lookout for fresh talent.

Machiavellian, having strolled through the different time corridors of AAR-Land, steps into the tea room, in a suit befitting imperialistic fashion and a simple black tophat. Under his breath he seems to be humming the tune of Pachabel's canon.

"Fine afternoon today. Might I have an irish coffee?"

Curiously glances around as he awaits the gentlemanly barkeep to bring him his drink, wondering what is new in the realm of victoria AAR's.

coz1 pours the coffee and adds the proper extra kick as he flips the pages of the gazette to show the weekly update area.

You might look through there to see a few recommendations as to what to read. We've had quite an explosion in the past few weeks of new AARs, it's hard to keep up with them all.

So sorry to have to impune upon your tea, gentlemen. It's that time again and we must add an extra shelf for the April AARs in Her Majesty's LibrAARy. It will be in progress on and off over the weekend, but I promise to make sure that all nails and saw dust are cleared from the main room. In the meantime, perhaps the Wlak Pack can play a bit louder, eh? What-what?

And perhaps you might like to travel over to the main halls of the forum and read through the last several posts of the Gazette feedback thread as there is a rather spirited discussion currently in progress that I am sure you would like to have your say in. Capital! I shall now return to work.

Having a bit of trouble getting in, chaps? Well so have I for the last few days. Who knows what the Wlak Pack has been up to in there while we were gone. As soon as things get back to normal and and I can access the place with a bit more ease, I will put up my Picks for the week. However, the librAARy has been updated for April and I do hope our first OscAAR poll will get up and running soon. Probably when things settle a bit, I presume.

coz1 hands everyone a slip of paper offering free drinks when they are able to get into the Tea Room again.

"difficult indeed. It seems things have been blocked off or slow of late. Even now it seems as if time is moving at a decelarated pace. Anyway, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, i'd like some fine earl grey tea as I continue where I left off reading the debates in the AAR Gazette discussion board."

I've had my share of trouble accessing the forums due to my lack of time, the forums being down and losing power at my house today. Its like someone doesn't want me to update my AARs or read any others.

Oh and bartender if you please could you please mix your strongest stuff with your weakest stuff and throw some tea in there too. Need something to keep me awake long enough to get all my forum business done.

It's on me, gentlemen. I hope it is strong enough. The powers that be are working on it, so I understand. And Machiavellian, thank you for your take in the feedback thread. Encouraging to see your opinion and to know that you care enough to express it to the rest of us. Hopefully, this difficulty with forum access will be resolved soon enough and we can get back to doing what we do best. And if any of you happen to gain access, make sure to check out the Guess-the-Author thread. I would hate to see it become stagnate while we are having these difficulties. As well, we have a new issue of the gazette coming up this weekend, and I believe we will have even more interesting fare for the group. Perhaps even an interview with Johann, but don't quote me on that.

hey gents, just visitin from the old EU2 forum my what a fine establishment here.

I'm proud to announce that i FINALLY figured out how to play Victoria, with its damn social policies, furniture making, railroad spiking and what not so after Vive L'empereur im considering making an aar in this time period who knows, maybe a sequel?

Haha in any case, in my unbiased opinion, i shall recommend The Broods of Eagles and Serpents – A Second Empire or Bust not only because of its excellent dialogue and characters, but because we nappy writAARs have to stick together also lol

Btw Coz1, hows the hangover from your Santa Anna? i hope it won't inhibit you from continuing your Into the West AAR anytime Take your time of course, we'll be waiting.

After some muttering and much consumption of tea and alcohol Machiavellian manages to say something that is somewhat understandable.

"This server is busy nonsense is starting to really get on my nerves. Does anyone know what the problem has been lately? Is it that our population has grown too large? Or is it just some high tech web connection problem that I would only understand on the most rudimentry of levels?"

Hardly even able to post or read stories due to the constant messages of this server is busy whenever he flips to another page, Machiavellian decides to just sit in the corner with the various pillows and ponders perhaps attempting to 'chase the dragon'.

Drinks all around gentlemen. I am quite in agreement with you Machiavellian. I believe there is a thread or two in the OT area that discuss it slightly, but not in great detail. As far as I know, Paradox is working on it. The opium den is always open, however, if you wish to pursue that chase. I believe Erika Blow is in there as well, so you might get even luckier.

And great news indeed, TreizeV. I would love to see you try your hand at this period and count one sure reader right here. I do hope to get back to Into the West soon, but I cannot make any promises that I cannot keep. Besides, I have an update almost ready for The Holy Trinity and it's difficult enough to get that up.

Wiping down the counter, coz1 peruses some of the other items of the day since he was able to gain access.

"When ever I visit the Victoria forum I feel bad about abandoning my AAR about the Cherokee. While I think I have good reasons why it was abandoned (It was in 1.02, I got utterly crushed, and my files were later corrupted.) I dislike abandoning in general as it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Sad to say, but Victoria beat me. After my initial tries at the game, I soon scurried back to the safety of EUII."

"However, reading the many fine Victoria AARs out there, makes me want to try my hand again. Perhaps, with the forums so chaotic of late, I should load up victoria and give it a try." Machiavellian says after taking a few more deep puffs from the opium pipe. His black top hat was tilted at an odd angle, barely remaining atop his head as he rambled on. In addition, his suit and pants were disshelved and untucked. Perhaps he had found that experienced lass Erika after all.
