They are spreading gentlemen. No, it's not the preferred fashion for us gentlemen, but perhaps Trixie herself might stop by and try one on for us. If not, I suppose Erike Blow will have to do

He rolls his eyes and whistles knowing full well that Erika matches up with the best of them

And I have decided that Texas simply will not do. Instead, it must be Mexico. Yes gentlemen, your humble bAARtender will for one time only plug one of his own AARs in this establishment - that is my hopeful drinking binge this coming Saturday which you can catch, right here. Watch as I try to equal (God forbid) MrT's and Paranoid Tsar's attempt to mix alcohol and the AAR. It's more to try and tempt folks from the other areas to hang around the Victoria forum for a day, more than a desire to punish my liver - but that is also an added benefit, I suppose - so spread the word. Fear not, I will surely attend to my duties here whilst I spiral into inebriation, but the bar will be open for the day, so come and drink with me!

coz1 walks into the Tea Room. His hair is messy and his eyes are bloodshot. He tries to straighten his tie, and then just takes it off completely. He motions to the Wlak Pack to play a bit softer

Ahh, that's better. Feeling just a tad hungover today, gentlemen. The US makes for a nasty neighbor sometimes. Good thing I was drunk through most of it. Well, I guess it's time for some GenAARal's Picks.

This week I am showcasing Amric's A Study of Anarchy: The Lenape as the longer story. Watch as he guides the Lenape to greatness against Europe and everyone else. It's very good. As for the shorter story, try A Tale of Three Families Part 1: A China AAR by redwolf. He has started a scenario with China in the 17th century and has just begun the tale. Get in now and follow along.

coz1 settles behind the counter and tries to serve drinks, but his hand is a bit shaky. He takes some headache powder and lights a smoke and things begin to get better

Next time, I really might try it with Texas. We'll see.

It was a fine effort, coz! I'll take some camomile tea, if you would. Might help my headache issue. BTW, hopefully you can finish Holy Trinity and then figure out how to keep going with your Into the West story. I did update my Knights of Balance story though!

Perhaps this is nothing to complain about, he says slowly, sipping his gin and tonic, but my picture has been up on the wall there - he motions toward the sign "Writer of the Week" - for a bit too long. There are many other fine writers out there that deserve recognition. Unless, perhaps, you intend to change the sign to 'Writer of the Month?'

Yes, Amric - I too hope to figure it out. The drinking binge got me to see clearly that it would take more time to allow the muse to return. Must go check out your Knights of Imbalance tale. It is quite interesting what your are attempting.

And Voshkod, I agree with you, but it is such a fine picture. I think our WoW leader is on a trip at the moment and thus has not been able to take care of this aspect of his duties. He does have a very young son, don't you know? I am sure he will attend to it upon his return.

Morpheus, old bean...doesn't EUI have it's own OscAARs? If not, why not? Have you lobbied for such if there isn't? I could have sworn not that long ago there was an EUI OscAAR category, or was I wrong? I'd be just as pleased to announce such but I am not the bAARtender for EUI....Just as I am dead certain coz1 would trumpet such for Vicky, and Alexandru I KNOW would for HoI.

Well, let's be reasonable, Stroph1 can only do so much. If you want a Vicky OscAAR, or for that matter one for HoI and EUI, then someone volunteer, choose a topic and gather some nominations. I'll be happy to post them in the main forum. Those interested need but PM myself,Valdemar, MrT or talk to your local bAARtender, who will contact one of us. Simple as that. It's easy enough to talk the talk, but you have to walk the wot.. er, walk. Now, where's that tea?"

Rudolf strolls in, he's face is a shade of red and an angry expression looms over his face. "Damned Bloody Revolts" he screams furiously as he sits down at a dinky, leather coated stool by the bar. He orders a large pint of Strongbow Cider mixed with Ye Old English Cider and a half pint full of vodka with a dozen teaspoonfuls of bitter lemon juice. The barman looks at him with a curious expression and passes him the 4 pint glass of,what he considers to be a lethal concotion. Rudolf takes a grateful swig and gasps his appreciation.

"Thats a mighty wierd taste you've got there" says the barman.

"It my own personal GROG, i like it thats all that matters,it'll help me stop thinking about those Damned, blasted, stupid, annoying, revolts that seem to spring every where everytime you blink" he breathes profusivly in a stressful way and looks around to see everyone is looking at him.

"Stop looking at me, you nosy, damned, ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH"! Rudolf downs his GROG, burps very loudly and proceeds to run out oif the TeaRo0m screaming uninteligently about conspiracies being everywhere, and rather oddly about dragons under his bed"

Everyone looks at the door astonished listening to his shrieks die away.

"Strange, poor, dellusioned man" someone mutters and everyone knods there head in agreement.

Yes, those partisans can be quite pesky. Let us all hope his libation did the trick.

He steps up to the microphone and pats Lohn Jennon on the back before addressing the crowded room

It's great to see so many faces today. Happy Easter gentlemen. I am sure your wives are all wondering where you are.

Yes, of course they all suspect our fine establishment. They shall see you soon enough. It is time to announce this week's GenAARal's Picks. I have decided to go with a religious theme as it is a holy day. The longer tale has been going on for over a year now, but it is simply must read material. Follow along as Judge leads the Kingdom of Jerusalem to greatness again with his fantastic Kingdom of Jerusalem - A Modern Crusade.

For the shorter tale, we turn to the Man in White as he is guided for 400 years by an Angel sent from heaven due to a lost bet to Saint Peter in Easy as A B "Holy See": A Papal States AAR by _Arcadian_. He has just begun, and already it is hilarious. If his previous work is any guide, you will all be rewarded.

Also, this week, I would like to recommend a new AAR just published in our Crusader Kings area. Surely you have all read it, but if not be sure to check out Lord Durham's Norman Knights: The House of de Hauteville. It makes me salivate thinking of all the wonderful tales we will soon be seeing over there.

coz1 steps down off the stage and gestures for the Wlak Pack to strike up the music again. He walks behind the counter, reaches down and slams a fresh stack of AARland Gazette's on the counter.

Read it while it's hot gentlemen. Issue #3 of the Gazette will be coming along all day with two interviews and a whole slate of writAARs, some old hats and some new faces.

He pours himself some coffee and makes sure to add a shot of Bailey's to top it off. Lighting a smoke, he begins reading some new material and smiles in satisfaction.

Er, Coz1, you did mention that you sometimes think your picks are the kiss of death...well the Kingdom of Jerusalem story by Judge has only one more update to go now...but it is still a great pick. He has been working on it for a year now and well worth the effort to read the entire tale.

Been on a bit of a break gents, so sorry for missing my GenAARals Picks yesterday. I will be back later this evening to suggest some worthy tales for the week. Perhaps in the meantime, head on over to the TavAARn and read a few tales of crusading kings, eh?

As promised gentlemen, I have returned to announce this week's GenAARal's Picks. Our newer tale is by 4th of Eleven. Check out his start as attempts to build Russia from the ground up in Russia - A Winter's Tale. You will not be disappointed. For the older story, you should all be reading the brilliant continuation of the History Park in History Park: Here There Be Dragons by Director. Watch as he weaves a difficult game with Wallachia with narrative that will keep you guessing after each installment. It is not to be missed.

I'm here just a little...drowsy from all this fun. I think i would enjoy suggesting the AAR's i've followed most closely. Of course Estonianzulu's Serbian tale, Gjerg Kastrioti's British story, jmazur's USA tale in the HOI forums,and cipollacipolla's story about Sokoto. Now to catch up on some lost sleep.
