This is a good sign, if they release demo they have faith in the game will increase rather then dis-crease pre orders (They think they have made a good, and working game)
Also as an buyer of the game, I am happy to get some time to relay do the tutorials (I often skip them, do do the real game).

As a personal opinion I despise Bitorrent with a passion because it is used by so many pirates, but that is just me. On a less personal note, once someone has downloaded the demo we are not going to be able stop them uploading it elsewhere. It is just the way of it, we've given it away for free and without restriction (except .exe hacks, we take a dim view on them) so we'll let things take thier corse.
I think it is no need to be against torrents here. In fact other companies officially use them with demo versions. But it is best to be sure.
I wouldn't even know how to do it, but if someone posts a torrent link to the demo here on the site, that is okay for you?
Yeh, it's the demo. However, it better not be a torrent site which supports copyright infringement as well (you know the ones I mean), or it will be the ban hammer for encouraging piracy.

I hope you give the demo to the Swedish site Fragzone so we can get decent download speeds (they are the only site I know that use Bittorrent) and I usually get 10 times speed from them compared to all other places where I can get trailers or demos (just because of Bittorrent).
Thats a weird stance considering bittorrent protocol is free for all and just links. Meaning if a torrent is created by a legal site like FZ, nothing prevents "illegal" sites from linking to it. So basically its the still the same torrent file. But I do understand your point, as long as we don't link URLs to sites where copyright protected stuff can be found from here we should be fine then.

I don't know why you guys are complaining about File Planet - I start d-loading something from them, and then I can go away for the next few hours. I get a full day's work, in AND I have something to entertain me at quitting time! What could be better?

He added the Fileplanet part. It'll probably take a few hours to finish downloading it with Fileplanet, unless you pay an unreasonable membership price.
On the other hand Fileplanet will willing to take the demo on rather short notice. With Sweden Scotland on Wednesday there wasn't a hope in hell of you guys having any support if the demo went out that day. I got tickets for the game btw.
