Friedrick's Great War
Friedrick The Great however once more began to lay out his plans for the complete destruction of his enemies. Peace had reigned in Europe long enough, the fire would have to be ignited once more. Annoyences were to be eliminated and only the few remaining enemies of the great Prussian Land will be tolerated.
By 1766 Friedrick’s troops were ready, on the border of Hungary Friedrick waits with bated breath, this would be his most decisive war, it would teach all parts of the world to fear him.
The Mughals were once again used as the scape goats, no real attempts into their land holdings however were made, unfortunately many attacks on madras was repelled. Soon all the enemies came England led by far the most fearsome threat, the usual Colonial confederation of Portugal, and Spain. The war for colonial supremacy was decided long ago in Prussian favor.
Our Colonial threat lies in the North were the Danes, the Swedes and the Russians gather together to save themselves from Prussian wrath. It however will not help them. The army had been preparing to secure Scandinavia for years and now was the perfect chance.
And so now the minor enemies show, Hungary came first, it would prove to be their last mistake, as we taught them the following year. The Italian Alliance split into two parts one with Savoy led by Venice, and one led by Genoa with Tuscanny. The Italians were Italians annoying.
The fighting in India as stated was rather dull, although late in the war a plan to take the Portugese with the newly formed navy at Palembang failed for reasons to be stated later. In the north an army was being constructed to explore the Siberian Corridor first hand. Meanwhile the two Swedish conquering forces were doing well, so well that by 1677 All Swedish Provinces lay in Prussian hands. The long held ambition of the annexation of Sweden was fulfilled. Now the focus turned to Russia (Since we wp with Denmark somewhere along the way).
While sieging the Hungarian capital Frierick thought of something he had not done in a long time, Take land from the Ottoman Turks, a large army was on the border to the north, and with one in Illyria there was no reason not invade, if only the Turks had went to war, but that can be solved, Friedrick the Great issued a declaration of war against the house of Osman.
With Hungaries fall Friedrick was left in a dillema he had not lost many men in the fighting and the Hungarians added new infantry to his army, but with so many theateres of combat which one should he join? Russia was too far away, Italy was an annoyance but hardly worth going after. In the end Friedrick as usual made the boldest move possible he marched across the Austrian lands and invaded the Ottoman capital of Istanbul, he was determined to see the city in Christian hands once again.
1768
In yet another characteristically bold move Friedrick sent plans all the way to Berlin regarding naval operations and a detailed map of the invasion force to be mounted. The long dormant Army of The Netherlands was drafted as the invasion army, new recruits were added along the way. The Navy picked up the forces and immediately they sailed around England without any opposition from the English navy. and from The Highlands the invasion of England began.
Meanwhile the invasion of Russia also went off without hitch, once again their colonial empire was burnt to the ground. And the expedition into the Corridor set off beating back a lone army attempting to keep them from their goal. They of course failed and the expedition set off surviving the Russian winter. The army than split into two groups of Artillery and Cavalry in order to cover more ground.
The colonial war was going well the English colonies in India were occupied and trading posts burnt down. In America the situations was the exact same this included the occupation of their CoT in the America’s. at one point Coahaitia was gained it however remains a mystery from were it came because the colonial alliance only began to fold after I white peaced the Spanish.
And Friedrick as restless as always conquered the capital of the Ottoman Empire, the only Ottoman field army was beaten completely at Bosnia. With peace looking more and more likely and as the invasion of The Highlands worked in our favor reinforcements were being raised in the Netherlands. Friedrick of course did not constitute this as an invasion of England, as the Scottish provinces were under siege by the English and the Portuguese, with another Portuguese force in The Marches. Friedrick decided to go force the Venetians to call of their Italian dogs.
As he was leaving the capital of the Ottoman Empire he muttered to himself, “I don’t see why Europe was so afraid of those spineless infidels for so long.” He stopped in his tracks when word that the Sultan had been discovered. Rather than treating the scum as he should have been dealt Friedrick entreated the Sultan to hand over Bosnia and Istria to the Prussian Empire, The Sultan, Friedrick pointed out, had no more need for them. The fearful Sultan agreed.
1669
With the Operation against Russia and the Corridor complete and with the capital under Prussian control the army took the land of Kola and burned down the Russian Trading posts along the Corridor.
In England the Scots were saved by the Prussian Cavalry, and with the arrival of reinforcements the English and Portuguese armies were completely destroyed. Soon after The Marches fell, and with the victory on the English complete, peace was settled for what was really wanted, The Highlands and The Marches.
And with the fall of the Venetian capital the sites were set upon aiding the French, who had been whipped in Italy, with both their provinces in Genoese hands. Emilia was liberated and once more placed under French dominance as a sort of “State Gift.” However with infantry being raised Friedrick began his invasion of Italy, the Tuscans had grown powerful over these years, after their annexation of the Papacy, something would have to be done.
By 1770 although the forces were running dangerously low Freidrick conquered the former Papal lands of Rome and Romagna. Now in a seige of the Tuscan capital he failed in an assault, and his artilery alone proved unable to penetrate the mighty fortress. As the Black Sea Navy was sent to speed up time between reinforcement arrival in Italy Frierick’s forces slowly began to rebuild. A French army arrived and beleiving to have sufficient troops Friedrick once more assaulted the capital. He would have won the day had the French will failed them, the entire army was obliterated and Friedrick himself injured to the point were he could no longer lead his troops into battle. So the career of the greatest Prussian millitary man in years came to an end Rome and Romagna were taken from Tuscanny, thereby bringing them back down to their original size. The Pope was sent to Austria as another “State Gift” and there Papal court was set up in Vienna.
