They've almost begun eating their scones.
In that case it might be a good idea to invite them over for lunch in Flanders Fields.

Part VII: German Offensive
I could hardly last forever. The Germans, now nearly finished in the Netherlands, came to Antwerpen with strong new divisions.
They also tried to push through Arlon.
Both battles were lost, but at least I cost Germany 1k manpower from that.
They subsequently attacked through Bastogne. Although it started off fairly well for me,
the Germans managed to bring in divisions to the battle who did not suffer fighting over a river. They won the battle, but there were definitely some casualties for them in that.
They attacked again. By this point, I had begun to retreat to my secondary defensive line.
French and Dutch forces flooded in from the North as the lines began to close.
note the French retaking of Antwerpen. Not that it will do me any good.

Nice update, though the situation is getting worse by the hour. As IRL.
I heard something about that tea device yea, never seen one though, great! Now they can have tea AND come to your aid at the same time...Right?....uhh....
I'm afraid it's gonna come down to the chasseur Ardennais again.
Also, I know it's already fought and all, just noticed those troops moving into Liege in that last screenshot. They'r gonna take a pounding there, surrounded like that, right? Sure, a river and a fort, but there are 4 ais of attack!

That's a French push into Liege, right? They like to get themselves exposed it seems.

I can guarantee you that it's only the French doing that in Liege
perhaps the British are currently outfitting their tanks/armoured cars with tea dispensers to prepare for the long Italian campaign ahead of them?
I don't think they quite understand a fort doesn't equate to defensive victory

Does the British AI ever make a decent presence during the invasion of the western countries?
Well, I've seen numerous British divisions under Dutch and French command when taking on France before. and in my current game, they invaded occupied Norway with like 150.000 men. Does that count?

No. Usually just a few marines.
Well that occupation of Norway was a bit surprising, but usually the number of British forces is very low. They just spend their whole time building convoys and occasionally an armoured division.

As they continued to pile forces into the battle, a new wave of bombers attacked crucial locations along the defensive line. My interceptors, ready for a new round of intercepting, were given the task to destroy the Aerial threat. Although somewhat outdated, my airforce proved to be stronger than the Germans could deal with there.
The Germans continued to push more of their infantry into the battle. Even the French joined in a little.
Under immense pressure, my forces began to cave in. Namur was the last province before a full attack on Brussels could begin. I tried desperately to keep it, but the Germans were getting close to winning.
I stupidly forgot to screenshot the battle statistics, but a few good thousand Germans definitely would have died there. It was over, and I was really in trouble now.

Dang. Namur lost. Well, you now have to retreat to the river IJzer, which is sadly enough not represented on HoI3
