True, although the Netherlands must have an army by now however small. I need those low countries brought into the war and i also want to Ally Denmark and Norway.

Montgomery's Mission
We have much to report. It has been decided to send Montgomery to Italy to help break the stalemate in the front and hopefully push the Communists back. This will hopefully lead to the capture of Rome, the Liberation of Italy and linking up with Yugoslavia and perhaps our armies in Germany to the north.
Montgomery Leaving Germany for Italy
To make sure Montogmery arrived in Italy safely we sent the bulk of the Royal Navy [surface fleet] to escort his transports and we encountered numerous enemy vessesls resulting in many battles. The ammount of vessels sunk by our fleet was far into double figures and no doubt the German and American navies have been dealt a large blow, we will dedicate an update soley to showing you the naval skirmishes that we have participated in recently.
The fleet made two stops, one in Bordeux and on more in Gibralter all the way fighting enemy fleets, then it was on to Southern Italy where the naval engagements got worse and more heated.
The Remainder of the Journey
It was'nt long until the fleet arrived and we prepared for what could be a massive victory for us in this war, Montgomery and his army came ashore prepared to fight for Palermo.
Montgomery and his Force Come Ashore
As soon as we came ashore the German forces attacked, they knew what we are planning. Weeks before hand we had undertaken a reshuffle of our forces in Italy and now instead of a Lt.General bordering Palermo on the mainland now it General Ironside who was waiting to support Montogmery, first though Montgomery would have to fight to hold onto his landing zone.

During the Battle we Recieved News of French Conquests
Even we were shocked to learn of the French annexation of Liberia, we had not been keeping an eye on the French forces in Africa.
Although the news we would recieve shortly after this was so shocking, we forgot all about France....

Me too, if i can defeat the force there i can send Montgomery to the mainland and hopefully then we can capture Rome!
The sad thing is, that the annexation of Liberia is the most productive thing they've done all game.
Woot! Hopefully with Sicily and with it southern Italy secured, you can be sure about your push north not being interrupted by an attack in the rear. One question: do you plan on releasing Italy as a puppet or allied nation?

During the operation in Italy we recieved news that the fascists in America had captured Labrador

We were greatly worried by this news, we had known that the Americans had been making progress in Canada but this was proof of the seriousness of the situation, despite the bravery of the Canadian armies they were simply outnumbered, could they hold on?
Before the Fall of Labrador to American Forces
It is no lie, we did not help Canada. We are stretched to our limit fighting a two front war against the Germans, the recent mission to Italy has required the full attention of our millitary commanders and we had neglected all other fronts to focus on our own vital invasion of Communist Europe.
We had somehow held onto the hope that perhaps Canada could hold on, due to the immense size of the front they were fighting on perhaps some invasions of the USA would go largely unstopped, perhaps both sides would continue trading ground....but we knew Canada was outnumbered. Outnumbered badly.
During the invasion of Southern Italy we were stunned and mortified by the news we recieved.
A Dark day for the Allies
Montgomery had managed to hold onto his landing zone and we promptly launched our attack on the large force which has been stationed in South Italy for months. So preoccupied with this crucial battle we were stunned by the news...that Canada had fallen.
Despite how serious this is, that now the USA has Canadian industry at their disposal it is more the fact that such a close Ally of ours is gone that hurts the most.
Canada has fought valiantly since this Epic War began, a shining light for freedom beside the abyss of fascism, Canadas fall is a severe blow to our morale and a very sad day for all the Allied nations . Britain however shall mourn the most, as we have always had close relations with Canada.
Canada cannot be allowed to vanish from our thoughts, Canada still exists to the Allies and her opressed people must one day be set free from the Fascists. Britain shall not forget what has happened here, Britain shall not forget the honourless cowards that have destroyed a nation and robbed its people of freedom.

Poor Canada indeed, definently one of the saddest updates to write. Im upset Canada is gone and furious my Ally has been conquered. Vengeance definently sounds sweet.
