This is my first AAR - in fact, it's my first CK2 video! If I survive through CK2 (I am terrible at the game, as some of my play shows) I will continue on to EU3 in hopes of making it a megacampaign. However, first I have a CK2 game to play.

At the start of the video, I was not sure who I would play, though I eventually settled on Count Theophylact of Orvieto. As for the AAR rules:
  • No restarting from a previous save. Ever.
  • Given my skill (or lack thereof) at CK2, dumb moves will happen. I have to deal with those.
  • I will play until I get a game over or until HoI3 ends, whichever comes first. (Knowing me and Paradox games, it will be the former.)
  • Constructive criticism is highly appreciated!

And here is the first video! If you want to skip to the game, I hit play in CK2 at 4:02. I won't take that long next time! :)

Interesting. I've actually never watched a video AAR before, so it's neat to see how another player does things differently.

I winced a bit when you gave away Orbetello in the first vid :p One thing I do with plots, rather than just looking for the ones who will immediately join, is look at the + and - breakdown. Usually a gift will be enough (when you have a diplomacy score as high as yours) to push a person with just one more - than +. Might make those plots a bit more succesful in the future.

Thanks for watching! Like I said in the first post, I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep the game long enough to make it a mega-campaign, but given that it's me playing, that's not guaranteed. If I get a game over, that's it.

I already checked out your videos! They're part of the reason I decided to do mine in the way I am!

I've finished part 7. I had the difficulty set too high for this part, but I kept it because of what I said in my first post:
  • No restarting from a previous save. Ever.
