well an interesting session to say the least.
I just want everyone to know that I am in good spirits and do not mind having my rear-end handed to me!! Good Job Terminator, you are obvioulsy more experienced than myself.
I do not know what I will be doing Christmas day, but I doubt it will be playing HoI2. I vote new year's day for next session or sooner.

what are you talking about? there is nothing wrong here, if I have offended you by opening a thread for a game that has been started, then I offer my appology, no matter how un-necessary it is.

For the others, I have no problem with 2 sessions a week, but we will have to get together on it, prolly in-game would be the best way to discuss it.
See you all later.

NP here!

Yes it was an interesting session. The British successfully
landed in the Northern Germany. Although the invasion lasted
for only about a couple of weeks it was enough to devastate
the German industry and allowed Poland to survive the German
onslaught.

At the end of the last session the Poles managed to isolate
a large German army group in Konigsberg. The Allies still hold
the German province of Freiburg in Southern Germany and
the Allied combined air forces have enjoyed complete air
superiority since August 30, 1939.

And ... Warsaw... it never fell.

Whenever the next session is I vote for starting a new
game with a more experienced Germany. No offences, Wellsey,
I am really glad you are still in good spirits. You did your best.

I think the Russians should attack Poland from behind, earn their booty.

Otherwise, Term, I wish you'd ease up on Wellsey for a bit;). The rest of us want to get into the war. Three sessions, 15+ hours is a lot of time for doing very close to nothing. And Germany's just got to hang in long enough for Japan to enter, then you guys are in for trouble  .

This, or perhaps we could play out the rest in a FFA/diplomacy style format? Adding a diplomacy dynamic would in a way make the game feel more realistic and historical anyway, and we wouldn't have to worry anymore about the game ending prematurely.... We would need a rule against democracies DOWing democracies, but I think besides that. I think it could work well.

NO, I do not think I did the best I could.
I just was thinking a year too far down the road and did not pay attention to French and Polish troop numbers :(
I can either fight it out, or we can start another, I say everyone vote for it, it is no problem to me.
So we vote now,
I vote restart, and that is two of us including Terminator.
Everyone else post as to what you want.

So many things can't be properly fixed by editing. But actually
if most of you are reluctant to start a new game I could
switch to Germany for a couple of sessions untill after Vichy
if we rewind the time two sessions back. December 11, 1937.
I still have that save loaded from Anders. That would definitely
change the entire course of the war. :)

Funny thing, I have never played UK before, but I would.
I am presumptuous enough to think if I had my Germany from Dec. 11 '37, that things would be different. I have learned to ignore my pet-peave of not building '36 Inf in large numbers, just because I know they will need to be upgraded, now I would just go ahead and build them and put them in Poland, who I doubt would have '39 inf anyhow....just thinking out loud....

The point is the Poles already had infantry '39 by the time your invasion started. :)

They were well fed with the British blueprints.

Aside from tech and build order, as far as I can tell the main thing that gave you heartache was that little English invasion from the Baltics. Either you defend those beeches or invade Denmark ASAP (I prefer this it takes about 5 divisions) and this closes the Baltics. Allied invasion of Freiberg is a hit or miss affair, and if they try to exploit it too rapidly can be a disaster. It's when they break through at the Saar that is the total killer.

Its winter Allies will be hard pressed to make headway -- Poland should crack. If you have a substantial army, and haven't lost much, then the situation might not even be completely unredeamable. Can't really see the deployments, really, so I can't tell.

If Italy were in, it would be a different ballgame.

That is my two cents.

I always count your two cents as a quarter Cue. I can tell your one of the ones who have really done alot of homework on this game.
