The Tribal Civs

Does anyone have any fun play strategey for the tribal Civs of EU:Rome? I tried playing as one, but they seem rather gimped in their play options. Their Civ rating wont even allow them to colonise.

Anyone have advice? I'd like to further explore this avenue. Thanks.

Try Lusitani for starters if you want a tribal nation. They have 2 coastal provinces, thus they can trade with the greeks or some other advanced nations. Civ rating will go up quickly.

I've played with Parisii and i was able to get 6 provinces. What you need to do is to siege quickly the capital and pray god that they wont take yours before. Unfortunately, you dont get much, i had 0.7 researh point and a 8-12k army with around 0.30 gold income...

So if Rome and Carthage DoW you, you're doomed. Eventually, its what happened to me and let me tell you that you cant beat one major power, so why did those 2 ennemies went for me at the same time?
