I would like some additions that would help me build something like the Toronto PATH. For those unfamiliar, the PATH is a pedestrian walkway network that travels underground and spans Toronto's downtown core. It's lined with over 1000 shops, much like a very large mall. It's connected to hotels, subways, the train station, parking garages, city hall, the CN Tower, various attractions, offices, shopping malls, and even condos; all from underground. There are people who walk to work yet never set foot outside, which is handy when the weather sucks.

Some things to help make the PATH doable in this game:
  • Stairs and elevators! Very cumbersome right now to make pedestrian paths like this with bulky ramps.
  • The ability to connect with buildings underground, especially transit terminals and metro stations. For buildings, just place some stairs or elevators that go into the buildings. For metro stations, just have the path run by it at the same elevation.
  • The ability to have very small commercial (shops, food courts, etc.) zoned next to pedestrian paths, even underground (though this is probably a hard one to implement).
  • The ability to make a square of path (i.e. a plaza). This allows you to make an open area which could serve as a food court or concourse.
Also would be nice:
  • Parking garages. I know there are mods, but the A.I. doesn't seem to use them right. They still prefer to park on the side of the road, and don't use it as a means of transitioning to another form of locomotion.
  • Arcades. Paths that go through buildings on the ground level floor without demolishing the floors above.
