10)When you have a different religion and culture then a neighbouring country, and you see the other nation start trying to convert your culture and religion provinces to their own, right on your border. For example, as a protestant German Brandenburg, watching Poland try to convert Danzig to catholic. It really makes me want to attack them.
9) Whenever there is a group forming in Valknet to play the Age of Exploration, or Grand Campaign scenario, there is always some goof that wants to play China, Byzantium or some other nation a million miles away from everyone else.
8) When there is sixteen people waiting for a game to start, there is always somebody who is afk. Either to take a piss, smoke a cigarette, or whatever, that we all end up having to wait ten minutes for.
7) Certain Spanish players who feel that Portugal and Austria are by decree of God, their 'slave', and any deviance of Portugal or Austria from this magically decided 'Bitch' roll, will be met with wild accusations, kicking and screaming. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, because I've been musing about this same exact behavior since 1.04. Some Spains just feels they are entitled to having these two countries service them no matter what.
6) Trying to siege a province in the middle of a war, in which there are several disconnects and forced rehosts. The fucking siege counter, morale, strength everything is completely reset. Makes for a HUGE pain in the ass, since everyone HAS to rehost when someone drops during a war.
5) The complete stranger who out of the blue always wants to have military access, trade agreements, share exploration and probably give erotic back rubs. Also, the person who spams you with peace agreements, as if he thinks you're going to accidentally click okay.
4) The psychotic loser. I think most of the people have experienced one of these individuals. They will happily ruin an entire nation, run up a hundred or four inflation and completely screw over his economy for the rest of the game, to avoid losing a single province. Everyone has had their own traumatizing experience regarding some psychotic moron.
3) The 'Alamo' complex. This happens all the time. A nation is clearly clearly overpowered due to circumstances, and has absolutely no chance to win a coming war. This nation will rebuke any and all diplomatic attempts and instead desire to fight to the bitter end instead. Or they will consistently refuse a very reasonable peace because they don't want to lose a single precious core province. Then, once you're forced to have to slog your way through all his bullshit, and finally conquer the bastard with a 100 percent victory, he bitches and complains when you decide to take more then the single province you initially wanted.
2) When you are in a closed game and some random stranger pops in and asks to join. Inevitably, he is told the game is full and exits, causing everyone's download to either stall or go in loops, neccessitating a rehost. A most annoying faux pas.
And finally...
1)When some smartass converts all of the Pagan nations state religion. So well into the 18th century there are Cherokee cultured protestants, Shona cultured catholics, and Iroquis reformed. It just pisses me off, especially if a country like Spain decides to go on a rampage through North America first to make life difficult for France and England. (Ulver is guilty of this in MGC3, using Hernan Cortes).
