So the timurid dynasty is the most resilient dynasty in the game. Once you have a Timurid ruler, even if you die without an heir, you ALWAYS get a Timurid. This also holds true even if your religion is no longer muslim.

Also, if a nation with a timurid ruler ceases to exist, it is reborn once again with a timurid ruler. Furthermore, it can randomly spread to persian/altaic nations because it is in the pool of possible last names.

And then by marriage it can even spread to India.

I'd like to know how does that happen. I mean, even if 'a random uzbeki noble ascends to the throne' his last name is always timur if timur's already there.

TL;DR: how does the timurid dynasty live on even after monarch death/ nation respawn.

Austria can create Von Habsburgs out of thin air.

I once played a game of Bavaria with a couple of friends and oh boy did von Wittelsbach shine. I got extremely lucky and the Palatinate fell under me while I got the opportunity to push union over Denmark while they were busy fighting muscovy. Once I won it their war with Muscovy just ended (as it does) and I now ruled all Wittelsbach nations while under the protection of the emperor should they turn rebellious. It was set to be one interesting game from the heart of Europe but sadly my friends playing further away got themselves RIPed and we never continued :(

In any cae, Habsburg is very nice, but much of it is just Austria's events and missions. While Habsburg tend to spread more thanks to the related events there's few guarantees and ifi t happens late enough it may not yield so many opportunities. What I liek about Wittelsbach is that the opportunities are there from the start - as well as the base thinking that the more nations have a dynasty the greater the chance that that dynasty spreads to someone else. So they have a "leg up" so to say.

Unions are such fun, though since they became much more stable after the liberty desire revisions and removal of loss on death with negative prestige they're so frequently exactly what thye look like - massive changes to balance of power virtualy overnight, sometimes with great chance involved, for better or worse.

A for the possibilities of a massive christian Timurid Game of Thrones style conquest of the world... It would be a most glorious thing to behold.

There are also Clan names of Japan. They also withstand pretenders, death and vanishing as a country.
When it comes to von Wittelsbach my friend had to restart his game once, because AI Denmark secured a personal union with Hungary and Austria in first 20 years. That's something.
