Ok, I'm fairly new to the game, and this is my first AAR.
I'm not much of a writer, so I'm going to let the screenshots do most of the talking, but here's the basic story:
I started my game as Brandenburg on the 30th of may, 1453.
Over the years, I expanded aggressively, and eventually was able to form a united German nation (which was my goal from the beginning). I had also forged strong alliances with Austria and Venice, as well as colonizing a large chunk of the south and central Americas, and all the islands nearby. My tech focus was entirely focused on government, land, and production, as were my "slider movements". It took me awhile, but I then managed to diplomatically annex the Austrians, doubling the size of my empire. By this time, I was easily the most powerful country in Europe, with France being the only real threat to my power. I waited for an opportunity to remove them, and it came with a (suicidal) attack by their semi-retarded allies in Norway. I *ahem* "pwned" France (with a not insignificant amount of help from my loyal friends in Venice, now a united Italy.), and then, rather than taking any of their territory (my rep was getting ugly), I simply had them split into as many tiny little french nations as possible, thus removing them as a threat.
All this took me to about 1814. I then became frantic. I didn't want to stop! I now had a new goal: I had to cheat death (the death of my gameplay experience, anyway) After asking around on the forums here, I was helpfully pointed to a mod that postpones the end date of the game indefinitely. And it worked. And life was good again. I now plan on going on for as long as I can, hopefully attaining global hegemony. But now comes the question: does my use of this mod disqualify me from posting an AAR about the game? Am I a naughty cheater? Let me know, so I'll know whether or not to continue posting the story of my lovely Imperial Germany...
