The Tension is off the charts

It seems that world tension can go above 100. In the 5th WWW video, when the US joins the Allies the pop-up alert indicates it will change by -2.71. but it remains at 100. This is 1 minute & 50 seconds into the video.

I think that this is because 100 is the most it can display, but the tension continues to go up and the real total is tracked. Even though the tension is really above 100 the display will show 100 until the total falls below 100 again.

Or, possibly, it did not apply the -2.71. I do not think this is the case at all because it seemed to be tracking previous changes in world tension, whether + or -, during previous episodes.

Therefore, the tension is off the charts. No wonder Da9l is going 30 clicks / minute.

a good question. whether it gets locked in at 100 after a huge war starts I don't know.

I would say it is much more likely that the world tension is not balanced correctly as the USA shouldn't be joining that early.

There's lots of things that need balancing at this stage, I am sure, but that's partly what the beta play testing will do and I am not worried about this. although i think you are right, tension needs a tweak here or there in terms of the particular amount of tension for this or that event. World tension is a cool mechanic though I like it.

I don't think there's a mechanical "the war" in the game that automatically locks tension high - I'd believe it's just scaled by the size (IC? Military power? Something?) of the bellingerents and countries like UK and Germany being at war brings it easily to 100% and beyond.

I belive i saw a screenshot before with the tension being 600-700% on a popup? I cant remember where and i might even be wrong about that, i think i saw it though.
