Those darn pirates! Jsut today I did the same thing and everyone got -100 relations and i got -50 prestige.

What bothers me more is that Poland inherited Lithuania, Bohemia became emperor again and I got a tough time trying to carve out my little empire. In the following years(in 20 years that is, the other 10 are almost finished, gonna update tommorow) I will need to have a situation in which:
a) Bohemia is weakened militarily OR a weak emperor rised to power(i.e. Bavaria)
b) All the other electors, that is Cologne(achieved Unam Sanctam and Tuscany as ally), Mainz(they never seem to be friends to anyone but Wurzburg), Trier(insignificant 1-province allies such as Ansbach and Nuremburg), Brandenburg(can't remember, but bothersome allies) and Bohemia(just joined, current emperor) would have to be involved in the war for a one-time struggle. Bloody czechs =P
Actually Itd be better if the HRE was some insignificant orthodox country. Say Ethiopia. And a Poland - Lithuania is never good. It only leads to trouble and major disturbances.

I'd say Poland-Lithuania is great. They would probably eat the western part of HRE so you'll easier take it back from them as provinces instead of OPM's.
Though I've never played MM so maybe it's much harder or different??

Ironically, the new thing is that Lithuania has no autonomous estates and that Poland didn't manage to take Lithuanian cores of Ukraine and Belarus, those that she doesn't have at the start of the game.
Nevertheless, being a big monster as it is, most of Poland's gained provinces give roughly 1-3 income total and ironically, the Teutonic Order that absorbed the Livonian order(that is no longer a part of the HRE) has more income and a larger army.
Also, what seems to be new to MM2 is that the HRE provinces aren't so keen to be given back. For example, what happend a lot of times was Milan giving Verona(having no core) to Venice.This no longer occurs - it also happend with Mantua as well. I expect a similar situation with France's vassalized Provence. This will be bothersome should Poland/Teutonic Order/Austria/Hungary/Denmark/France/Milan start to eat out the HRE once it's gone.
Which makes me want to establish my non-imperial italian front first so I may have the power to face the emperor and his underlings and all those warmongers right after. Then again, what else may I do?
I don't imagine myself being the emperor, having a republic. And I enjoy my high level(though useless for trade due to lack of money) government.

Go after Italy until you are more powerful than any other HRE nation to take on the other electors.
Impressive, but I have to ask what your inflation is like, between all the wars, stab hits and wrong culture provinces while at max decentralisation!

Well. The best outcome of the war I could get is Istria(the small croatian province) from acqualeila(or whatever that was), Rome from the Papal States, and 2 provinces from Sicily. For prestige, although that won't give me any gain, I could try and conquer Venice for some ducats and releases. I believe I won't have any major wars with a 4 diplomacy consul. Unless that changes.

It is 0 to 0.3, can't remember exactly now. My income scales between a very small decrease(maximum I had now was -7, but that's due to war exhaustion) and a steady increase(11-13 at 3 stab). Usually it's 3-5+. Most of my major income came from small gratitude events from berber pirates. As the minting got it its boost, I can mint for like 0.3 ducats, which is -0.00 or -0.01. In critical moments I tune down my army maintenance. Decentralisation is actually pretty useful to me. Despite giving +2 RR for policy restriction(max should be 3), the -7.5(-5.5 effective) RR reduction is really useful for rebels and recovery after the war(-2.5 max war exhaustion) Stab hits don't hurt me a lot, at all, and thanks to decentralisation, I have it easy to get back on my feet in terms of stability, too. I wouldn't underestimate that ^^ All good federations have decentralised countries, and its only for their good.
Note to Developers #2: The Teutonic Order and Poland, unlike in history, don't seem to want to eat each other out. AFAIK, the Teutonic Order always wanted to create its own kingdom by taking Warsaw and later all of mainland Poland, while Poland wanted the Teutonic Order either not to exist(as it did its job of taking out pagans out of Poland) or make it her vassal, so that they would never endanger Poland again. So, Imo, the 2 should strive to eliminate one another. With Poland's victory, Poland would give Memel to Lithuania as a sign of friendship.

I noticed this too, I've only seen Poland take Danzig in ONE game of MMP2 so far in spite of their core and it being a very rich province. And I've never seen them vassalise the TO or form Ducal Prussia.
