Hi,
I just stumbled into a frustrating rule in the achievements. While trying to do the "The Sun Never Sets on the Indian Empire" achievement, I eventually vassalised a country (France). This country in turn had a colony, French Canada. When it came to claim the achievement by forming Bharat, it didn't work. I initially thought it was because I wasn't connected or something, but no...
To my horror, the game didn't recognized French Canada as my possession. However, in the wiki, it states that the province of Ottawa had to be held by me *or* by a subject. Doesn't a subject's subject count? The game clearly considers that this colony is mine, but I had to declare war to my vassal to obtain the achievement. Had I known about this, I would have annexed France earlier, but I didn't have time. Good thing that I didn't wait for december 1820 to form Bharat!
This situation is frustrating, so if no good reason for it can be found, I would like for it to be "fixed".
