Exactly. I've posted a warning about this before, if you can't keep this thread on the game I will close this thread.

I'm a little bit confused, is this game purchable only over Steam? Or is steam simply required to run when you want to play the game? I'm asking, because the German Amazon page lists a "hard" i.e. CD/DVD Version of the game.

It's purchasable in tangible disk form, aswell as digitally from places like GamersGate (ontop of Steam). It just requires the Steam software to run (in offline mode if desired).

EDIT: JanH, do you know which stores are selling the disk in physical format? I *really* want to get my hands on a physical copy of the game (unless there's gonna be a special edition disk in the future, in which case I'll wait )

Well, I am interested in purchasing this game. First thing I do is try to log into steam, which I havent used in some time, and am notified that my account is suspended.

Fine I think, lets do a password reset, and regain access to the software titles which I own (I live in Canada, EULA that occur after the point of sale do not limit your ownership). I am not able to log into steam, all of my games that I have purchased over the years are not available to me. Day 4, and no response to my inquiry.

If I walked into my driveway and my car was missing (suspended by some random dealer who happened to sell it to me) I promise somebody would be in jail that same day.

This is definitely related to this particular game. People should be warned that Steam can arbitrarily decide to limit access to your purchase.
