The ongoing developments of spacetravel are a glimmer of hope against a rather bleak political situation all around. Lets hope it can bring some actual progress for the world too.

Is this is still going on? I certainly hope so! No spoilers though pls I've just finished the civil war and this is, without doubt, the best AAR I've ever read on a Paradox game. The storytelling is better than a worrying number of books I've read. Gotta say, the coup and twists and turns of the Civil War genuinely sent chills up my spine. Things have probably developed tons since then. Anyway, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Bloody excellent, keep doing what you do!

It is indeed still going on. The version you are reading is the "Original Series" which I did complete. Now I'm working on the "reboot" so to speak, which is basically a re-imagining of the entire AAR.

I was reading the OS and I think the Civil war needs a better name. How about the Union War, as sometimes wars are named after the side that loses.

Also, have you considered making a Wiki for this? You certainly have enough material for one.

The OS is done and done, I won't be making any changes to it. As for a wiki, well, does the folder of a gazillion excel spreadsheets I have to keep track of all this stuff count?:)

The federalists are still doing well, but if that is mostly from the botched statist interview they have to be careful to stay ahead of their competition

Obligatory mention about voter reform (no, I'm not going to stop. This will become a meme people!).
Federalist dominance and the Statists are slowly but surely losing ground. The Socialists have to come up with something if they hope to secure more seats while the Unionists are showing signs of steady growth.
This is going to be interesting...

It will be very interesting to see what the Federalists do.

So why did the socialist party drop off in the first one?

If you are referring to the OS Socialist Party...
Their support collapsed once their leader was assassinated, and the new one was fairly incompetent. This allowed the Federalists to reclaim their position as the de-facto pro-federal party. The magic of first-past-the-post did the rest and they eventually disappeared into obscurity.

I know its not much (pretty swamped with IRL stuff, the bane of all AAR writers), but here is a look at the Robertson family and a bit of their history.

Glad to see that you're still dedicated to this aar, I loved the first iteration of tSAO and, I'm following this one as well even though I prefer lurking at edges and just enjoying your story.
Hopefully your RL calms down soon enough! :)
Cheers!

No need to hurry! I think that you will reach actual gameplay just when they release 2.2 version, just in time! ;) And as a person who like demographic statistic, electoral statistic and characters' biographies I like and appreciate your writing style

Nothing has ever gone wrong with having a separate space department.

Mr Howard's barnstorming is of interest.

Oh, I missed this so much! Thank you for continuing!
I guess you'll wait for 2.2 before actually starting the game, won't you?

Yeah. I'm gonna be going into this with all the war stuff from the last patch, and now all these new planetary changes, its going to be great.

Ive also planned out how the rest of the AAR is going to go pre-stellaris, so that should help with some of the pacing.

Little by little, the story goes on. We wait patiently.

I think the upcoming 2.2 changes should aid your storytelling style a bit hopefully.

We Victoria III now, boys.

Glad to see this starting up once again!
