thanks i'll give it a try for the next updateNot as far as I have ever experienced. I've used it for Empires in Arms -tabletop grand strategy AAR's to great effect and very neat level of detail. Of course, browsing an album on Imgur, you see thumbnails of the pictures, but the real pictures are accessible, just copy the URL of the actual picture... Like this.

We begin 1895 by taking a look to see how big our population is only for us to discover our empire contains exactly 51 million people. In July we go hunting because as you all know hunting is part of the circle of life.
In September the Russians defeat Manchuria and acquire outer Manchuria. 12 days after the Russian victory in the east a war starts in Europe with our ally Italy requesting our assistance we gladly come to their aid.
Italy has declared war on Trieste to add them to their empire and Trieste is in the sphere of influence of the British Empire. We also have the Russians on our side. Our first move of the war is to send the 4th army under Pedro mina to occupy the rock that is Gibraltar.
While we occupy the rock we attempt to bring all our African armies together but the western African army is intercepted by the 5th Indian army at kayas. Meanwhile the 5th army attacks the British in Kong.
On the 10th of October the western army is ordered to retreat to the coast to be resupplied after suffering huge casualties. During the battle due to being outnumbered 2 to 1 we lose 19,000 men and 2,000 men injured.
Meanwhile on the 21st of October we defeat the British at the battle of Kong, dealing a blow to the British who lost 22,000 men during the battle. General Pablo Garcia is ordered to peruse the British to inflict greater casualties on them. On the same day realizing that we are outnumbered in Africa the king orders that we mobilize to counter the huge British army in western Africa.
On the 8th of November general Pablo Garcia faces the British again at the battle of Bouake and defeats the British, he then begins to pursue the retreating British to Man but little does he realize he’ walking into a trap. An additional 60,000 British soldier show up in man and inflict heavy losses on Garcia’s men. Realizing that he would soon be overrun Garcia orders a retreat.
On the 23rd of November the Italians annex Trieste leaving the British to fight both us, Russia and Italy by themselves. On December 17th Garcia is ordered to retreat to Lagos to regroup and resupply and to do whatever he can to defend the city.
On the 24th of December we gain a core in Cartagena de indas and the Spanish fleet drops of reinforcements at Rosso. On the 22nd of January 1896 the fleet intercepts a small group of British cruisers and destroys them.
The same day that the fleet intercepts the British near the Moroccan coast the a British army of 30,000 men crosses from Columbia into Spanish Columbia, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd central American armies are ordered to destroy the British army and immediately begin to march southwards.
On the 31st a small British army is destroyed at the battle of Tichit. On the 12th after reoccupying kayas we begin to push forward and reoccupy land hoping to distract and redirect the British attention here and away from Lagos.
Our plan work because on the 1st of march the British army attacks us at mouridah, the 4th army under Pedro mina and the 16th army is ordered to march northwards to aid in the defeat of the British. The British currently outnumber us at mouridah but help is on the way but will the 4th army under Pedro mina arrive at the battle in time?

Not likely, but could you post those images from the last update so we can see what photobucket wouldn't allow?
Looks like it will be up to you to teach Britain a lesson, I kind of doubt Russia will be able to help unless they take on India.

thats weird i just looked on the previous page and for some reason half the pictures are working.
I can't see most of your pictures from a number of your past updates. Photobucket bandwith issues apparently.
Subscribing to this, but never use Photobucket again. They are jerks about bandwidth. Otherwise, try to minimize the file size of your images. Downgrade the resolution a little and make them a bit smaller. Does wonders.

Glad to see another update, but sorry about your photobucket issues. I haven't had any troubles with imageshack though, so I imagine they'll work out for you as well! Good luck against Great Britain though; whenever I fight a war against them it always wind up being such a slog... they seem to be able to pull huge stacks of troops out of nowhere.
Either that or from the emergency supply of 500k soldiers they like to leave stationed in Ireland
Yeah, the subcontinent is a bit of a pain in historical realism, the Victorians weren't known for sending waves of Sikhs against the Zulus or the Russians, so the great naval power often ends up becoming much more of a land power in my games at least.
Perhaps this could be nerfed in later versions via a special event such as France's low birthrate event? Or maybe it could apply to all countries as a game mechanic. For example, in the HOI franchise, you could only use a fraction of "foreign manpower." Could the same be applied to pops who aren't of an accepted or primary culture?

The war continues with both side suffering huge casualties in Africa. On the 13th of March Pedro mina arrives at mouridah and the battle finally comes to an end in a Spanish victory. The British lose over 30,000 men in the battle and are forced to retreat southwards to Bamako.
On the 15th some more British ships are sunk of the coast of Africa and the British army is defeated in South America at the battle of Barranquilla.
On the 19th of March the 5th army under general Pablo Garcia in Lagos comes under attack and starts to take huge casualties from the larger British army.
On the 4th of April the British army is defeated once and for all in South America and retreats back into Columbia. On the 7th the streets of Lagos turned red with Spanish blood, building are burned to the ground by the british and general Pablo Garcia is forced to retreat further east to calabar. We suffered huge casualties and almost the entire 5th army was destroyed during the battle with 30,000 lying dead in the street, 2,000 wounded and another 3,000 captured.
In the west we have fared much better against the British, and we are slowly pushing them out of Africa. On the 24th the British are defeated in the battle of Kankan. The British army then retreats to beyla where all of the remaining British troops that fought at Kankan are defeated.
On the 19th of May as we are pushing further into British territory a Russian army lands on the coast to aid in the occupation of the surrounding territory. On the 31st the British are defeated in the battle of dinguiraye and suffer over 40,000 deaths compared to our 8,000. We now have momentum on our side and soon the British will be out of Africa.
On the 13th of June the British lose yet another battle to our glorious military. Just as we have gotten the advantage over the British the Russians sign a peace with Britain that ends the war with the British left humiliated by their defeat.
On the 17th we notice that china has become a great power.
In March 1897 we are offered an alliance by the Russians who were impressed by how well our troops fought, on the 30th we accept the Russian proposal.
On the 6th of July we send an expedition to find the North Pole. And in august we discover oil in Sandakan.

im not gonna go out of my way to declare war on them but, if i get the chance like they join britain in a war against me i will take a state or 2 from them.
How radically different this world's Spain is from ours. In 1898, our Spain was a decrepit shadow of its former glory, losing the last of its New World colonies to the United States. The same year, this Spain is a very real threat to American interests, and is openly challenging the Monroe Doctrine.
EDIT: Speaking of Monroe Doctrine, that might become my headcanon for why this timeline's US decided to annex Honduras and swaths of Columbia; in an effort to head off further expansion by a resurgent Spanish Empire and force them into war if they seek to reclaim their old territories.

That does make a fair amount of sense, particularly if there were a few warmongering administrations elected in succession.
