I wouldn't be surprised if the American political scene descends into chaos for the rest of the game (in terms of storytelling, at least).

There is really no need to be sorry. It's your AAR and I (as well as many others) enjoy reading it. Therefore keep doing it your way. I just wanted to understand correctly, what has just happened in the game.

The first battle of the war breaks out in the familiar province of Pau where many previous battles between us and the French have taken place in the last 50 years. Many have fallen but now is not the time to grieve for the fallen of past wars, now we must fight and fight we shall.
On the 16th of June the battle of Wudja comes to an end in a French victory. A few days earlier we attacked a small French army of 9,000 men here in attempt to gain control of the terrain before the French could arrive in bulk our attempt however was futile as a French army of 70,000 men arrived 2 days later and inflicted huge casualties upon our forces. After the defeat we order our troops to retreat to fez to regroup and resupply.
On the 20th of June we achieve our first victory on the European front in the battle of Foix. During the battle we suffered light casualties compared to the French. On the 6th of July the battle that have been raging in Pau comes to an end after nearly 2 months of fighting and over 50,000 men dead. We may be in for trouble now as the French now have gas attack defence capability whilst we do not.
In Africa the French and their allies are slowly advancing northwards and occupying land, at the moment we are unable to muster any troops to combat them with most of our troops in Africa engaging the French in morocco or occupying sokoto.
On the 19th of July after the French retreat from Perpignan they are decisively beaten by a join Spanish Italian army in the battle of Carcassonne. During the battle the French army now leaderless loses nearly 30,000 men compared to 800 Spanish dead and 1300 Italians dead.
By the second of august Foix has been occupied and several large battles are being fought in Toulouse and Pau. Meanwhile in North Africa our troops are defending Fez and things are not looking good, they are currently outnumbered 3 to 1 and are taking heavy casualties. On the 21st to our surprise the Italians hand over Savoie to the French.
On the 12th of November 1923 sokoto is officially annexed into the empire. And in December we are offered an alliance from the Ottoman Empire however we refuse deciding that they would be a bigger hindrance in a war than a help.
In January 1924 some guns cross the border, 2 days later we decide that we will attend the 8th Olympics.
On the 18th of February we are offered an alliance from the Russian empire which we gladly accept. On the 26th of April we sign another treaty f alliance with Germany. And one more alliance related picture, on the 13th of October we break our alliance with Italy deciding that our alliance with Germany is more important to us than our alliance with Italy, as shown by the last war.

On the 23rd of May 1925 we notice that the United States has over taken Britain as the number 1 great power due to its large industry and prestige. On the 6th of June our attempt to justify a war against Portugal is discovered and this costs us 6.3 infamy.
War on Portugal is declared on the 10th of November; upon the declaration our armies march across the border to occupy the small country. The 2nd army marches to occupy Coimbra, the 14th army marches to occupy Evora and the 9th army moves to occupy Beja.
By the 20th both Coimbra and Evora have been occupied, upon completion of the occupation the 14th army is ordered to occupy Abrantes in an attempt to cut off any possible Portuguese retreat while the 2nd army is ordered to take Lisbon.
On the 6th of December the Portuguese army in Lisbon is crushed by the 2nd army who during the course of the battle suffered light casualties of 5600 compared to the huge Portuguese casualties. With Lisbon now in our hands the Portuguese are willing to surrender Alentejo.
Peace doesn’t last long as Germany declares war on Prussia on the 6th of April 1926. The Prussians are protected by our former ally Italy but on the side of the Germans there is us, Britain, Belgium and Montenegro. The Germans immediately overwhelm the tiny Prussians with little effort.
On the 2nd of May we discover gas attack defence capability. To the north the Italians attempt to invade the United Kingdom but before all of their troops can debark from their ships they are intercepted and later destroyed by the royal navy.
In June the Italians cross the French border and attack our army at Gerona. The battle goes on for over 2 weeks the Italians continually try to break through our defences but in this terrain their numbers count for nothing and on the 9th of July the Italian army retreats back into French territory. During the battle our troops lost 838 men compared to over 35,000 dead Italians.
On the 11th of July the Prussian government while being overrun by the Germans is overthrown by fascists. The fascists are for reunification with Germany but would like to keep a certain degree of power in the state of pommern. On the 31st the fascist state of Prussia is officially reunified with Germany.
On the 18th of august the war comes to an end with Italy being forced to release Slovenia. In October Luzon becomes a Spanish state meaning the whole of the Philippines are now Spanish states.
On the 22nd of June 1927 3% of the population becomes fascist and the Spanish fascists gain 3 militancy due to the event anti-minority agitation. And in October we decide to attend the next Olympics.
On the 24th of December 1928 a crisis erupts when the united states decide to back the liberation of Austrian lands from Italy. Immediately the French and Russians side with the Italians whilst both us and the Germans side with the Americans. This is the Americans first real act on the world stage and to our surprise we find ourselves siding with them, it wasn’t long ago we went to war to stop the Americans menace but now we stand ready to fight with them against the French, Italians and Russians. This crisis is the most tense in years and it looks increasingly likely that this crisis won’t be resolved by peaceful methods. Will our enemies listen to reason or will there be a war?

I am glad, that you have been able to grab yet another province from Portugal. Also nice to see that the Germans could recover their strengh. Oh well, Italy is declining again. Looking forward to see how the coming crisis (and the promised great war) turns out.
As to the lack of comments, you should probably take into consideration that many of the writers as well as readers may be off for holiday which means, that they might be with no or limited access to the internet...

Americans and Spanish once at war now joined against a common foe? How very Hollywood! Also, Italy better listen to reason. The USA + Germany + a revived and hungry Spain = bad news.

, i suppose they learned it better to be by ourside rather than in our way pity i cant say the same for france . this war will be around 3 updates long theres loads of huge battles and this might be a even bigger victory than the one over the USA, this war is gonna be epic (well in my opinion anyway) the next update will be monday i hope you are all loking forward to it as much as me.and stiefler thanks, and im sorry to say thanks to this great war we wont be annexing portugal :sad: but i hope you'll still enjoy the carnage thats about to unfold.

Hey, once you finish this up, you should try playing Spain with the Pop of Darkness mod. It greatly expands the world, and you'll need a different strategy. Also, I believe there is a decision for if you annex Portugal to form united Iberia, but it might have been in the New Nations Mod instead.

Not gonna hold it against you; I just love your style, is all. I suppose we could always bug Avindian with the idea, though he's already entertaining playing the mod as the UK.
i wish i could play a mod some of them look so good especially the pop demand mod, but im just not smart enought to get them to work, it kind of sucks :sad: . i will continue makeing AAR's regardless, im even considering a EU4 AAR when it comes out but i dont kno how i would do that because of how long the games goes on for.

I don't know exactly. Maybe it's because you know your limits in terms of writing style? I like the history book format, and you don't try to do a novelization. While I've seen people do that and do it in an amazing way, all too often I see others do it really poorly. Yours is like a history lesson with drama, and I like that.
