Could you post the final map of your empire? Ya know the screenshot which shows only the provinces you have. As for having the biggest industrial score, it´s all about having the biggest population in States. You can have 100 million people, if 1 million is in states, you won´t have a better score than, say, France. Specially because technology advances at similar pace.
BTW through Russia is certainly very interesting, ottomans are MUCH more challenging.

well ive played throught to the end but i dont know how to do that screenshot your asking for so if you know could you tell me. ive finished the game ive just got to update the rest of it here. i chose those 3 for several reasons, france because in all of my AARs so far ive done almost nothing but beat france up, and russia and the ottomans because they both have tiny literacy and provinces that might start crisises, and with russia i can fight loads of big wars easier than with the ottomans but it'll most likely be harder that it would be with france due to the really long front.
so if you know how to do that screenshot with just my provinces please let me know. thanks
Why not puppeting the Spanish American nations? Gives you control over their resources and taxes.

We now find ourselves at war with our former colony Mexico. Mexico is the strongest of the nations that gained independence from us all those years again. Our first move is to cross the border to occupy Tapachula and Tuxtla. The first battle of the war takes place in May after Tapachula and Tuxtla had been occupied.
After the battle of Tuxtla the Germans and Italians arrive in Yucatan to aid in the occupation of Mexico. The Germans land a small force of 9000 men in Campeche and the Italians land 45,000 men in Merida. While the Italians and Germans occupy the rest of Yucatan our forces fight against the Mexican army in the battle of Oaxaca. After a lengthy and bloody battle we finally defeat the Mexicans on the 20th of October. During the battle 3 quarters of the Mexican army is destroyed and their leader Ramon Zaragoza is captured.
After the victory we decide to focus on occupying Mexican land while allowing the small Mexican armies to attempt to reoccupy land knowing that we would occupy the land faster than they will. On the 9th of November the Mexicans decide that they have no hope against our superior might and surrender Yucatan and Morelia.
In March 1916 we decide that we will attend the 6th Olympic Games. In November a crisis begins with our ally Germany facing off against our ally Italy over the liberation of bohemia and Moravia. It will be difficult for us to choose between our 2 allies, we can only hope they can reach a solution.
On the 19th of January 1917 the British decide to back the Germans in the crisis. A month later the Russians decide to back the Italians in protecting Austria. To our delight the Germans accept a white peace from the Italians which means we won’t have to choose between our 2 allies.
In May 1918 another huge Carlist rebellion breaks out across Africa. On the 26th of august the Chinese empire loses yet another war and a large chunk of land to Qinghai.
On the 15th of December we are called to war by our Dutch allies to fight our neighbour Portugal. Our first victory over the Portuguese happens in the battle of Huelva on the 11th of January. The Portuguese are outnumbered and have no hope of winning especially since France has also decided to aid the Dutch.
On the 16th the Portuguese are defeated again in the battle of Oporto, their armies are nothing compared to ours and are again defeated in the battle of faro. On the same day as the battle of faro the Portuguese capital Lisbon is occupied by our forces.
3 days after the fall of Lisbon the Portuguese accept defeat and surrender Mozambique to the French, Sunda Island to the Dutch and Douro to us.

America's borders are pretty gnarly, especially with Mexico. This is shaping up to be a strange, strange world.

sunsterson- i wont make it to first without cheating im ranked 5th and france who is 4th is around 800-1000 point in front of me mainly due to their industrial score.
Dreadnoughts, my friend. If you can afford them, you'd be surprised how quickly you can shoot up to the top.
i belive ive currently got 10 dreadnaught and my economy is already in the red but i think ive got enought money to let it saty in the red for the rest of the game.

because it's you i will try, and i will definately get their only other state but wether or not ill be able to annex them depends on how justification, if im at lets say 15 infamy ill usually try to justify it one but if it goes over i go back to the last save and wait for my infamy to be low enought that i wont have to go over the limit.This sound like an offer, that you can't refuse.
I´d actually DOW France, they have catalan and basque minorities. Portugal is too poor and with too small population.
the wars against france always end to soon, portugal has no allies and will be an easy target the 1 state i took from them, theyre pops are assimilateing like mad so ill try ad take portugal, and i think the basque and catalan pops have assimilated to french.

Tensions continue to rise throughout the rest of 1920 until March 1921 when the Germans fold under the pressure. This time however they don’t accept a white peace, instead they are forced to release Prussia.
On the 7th of April we host a regional trade fair and get 10 prestige for it. On the 16th of March Jacobins overthrow the government in the United Kingdom and declare the new republic of Britannia.
In October president of the United States Woodrow Wilson contacts us expressing his regret of the Spanish American war, and his hopes that our 2 nations can be joined together in respect for each other. He hopes that relations between the two of us can improve and that trade can prosper. After the recent coup in Mexico he offers the partition Mexico and have it act as a buffer state between our 2 nations. The president proposes that the Americans take control of Sonora and that we take control of the province of Mexico which includes the capital Mexico City.
On the 13th of October parliament decides to accept the president’s proposal, preferring the peaceful acquisition of territory to the costly alternative.
On the 19th of January Romania annexes Wallachia, which makes the 1 step closer to liberating all Romanians from the influence of all foreign powers.
On the 20th of December 1922 we create plans for the conquest of sokoto. Operation tribesmen will involve the 11th army in the north marching straight to the capital of sokoto to defeat the sokotan army while the 5th army focuses on occupying the south of the country before turning eastwards to occupy the remainder of sokotan territory before any more regiments can be raised. War is declared on the 5th of April and begins with the only major engagement where the entire sokotan military is defeated at the cost of 740 Spanish troops dead.
On the 9th of May the Shotokan capital falls and the 11th army moves eastwards to finish the job. However before we could finish the war we get sucked into another European war when the French attack the Italians for savoie on the 20th of May.
We mobilize the same day ready to fight the French, as usual they outnumber us on all fronts but as usual we will face them regardless. As we have in the past we will march across the Pyrenees and occupy the easily defendable territory high in the mountains and we will let the French be slaughter as they try to overwhelm us. We will do our best but it will be much harder to win this war without the aid of the Germans, especially in Africa where we are outnumbered by a great deal. Only time will tell if we can win this war.
